GENERAL NOTES:
1. STEEL POSTS WHICH SUPPORT THE SILT FENCE SHALL BE INSTALLED ON A SLIGHT
ANGLE TOWARD THE ANTICIPATED RUNOFF SOURCE. POST MUST BE EMBEDDED
A MINIMUM OF ONE FOOT.
2. THE TOE OF THE SILT FENCE SHALL BE TRENCHED IN WITH A SPADE OR
MECHANICAL TRENCHER, SO THAT THE DOWNSLOPE FACE OF THE TRENCH IS FLAT
AND PERPENDICULAR TO THE LINE OF FLOW/HERE FENCE CAN NOT BE TRENCHED
IN (E.G. PAVEMENT) WEIGHT FABRIC FLAP WITH WASHED GRAVEL ON UPHILL SIDE TO
PREVENT FLOW UNDER FENCE
3. THE TRENCH MUST BE A MINIMUM 06 INCHES DEEP AND6 INCHES WIDE TO
ALLOW FOR THE SILT FENCE FABRIC TO BE LAID IN THE GROUND AND BACKFILLED
WITH COMPACTED MATERIAL.
4. SILT FENCE SHOULD BE SECURELY FASTENED TO EACH STEEL SUPPORT POST OR
TO WOVEN WIRE, WHICH IS IN TURN ATTACHED TO THE STEEL FENCE POST.
5. INSPECTION SHALL BE MADE WEEKLY OR AFTER EACH RAINFALL EVENT AND REPAIR
OR REPLACEMENT SHALL BE MADE PROMPTLY AS NEEDED.
6. SILT FENCE SHALL BE REMOVED WHEN THE SITE IS COMPLETELY STABILIZED SO AS
NOT TO BLOCK OR IMPEDE STORM FLOW OR DRAINAGE.
7. ACCUMULATED SILT SHALL BE REMOVED WHEN IT REACHES A DEPTH OF 6 INCHES.
THE SILT SHALL BE DISPOSED OF IN AN APPROVED SITE AND IN SUCH A MANNER
AS TO NOT CONTRIBUTE TO ADDITIONAL SILTATION.

REGULATIONS, CONTRACTORS SHALL COMPLY WITH STATE DEPARTMENT OF INDUSTRIAL REGULATIONS
AND DIVISION OF INDUSTRIAL SAFETY (OSHA) REQUIREMENTS.
13. CONTRACTORS SHALL PROTECT THE OWNERS' PROPERTY FROM DAMAGE WHICH MAY OCCUR DURING
CONSTRUCTION. ANY DAMAGE TO NEW AND EXISTING CONSTRUCTION, STRUCTURE, LANDSCAPING,
CURBS, STAIRS, OR EQUIPMENT. ETC., SHALL BE IMMEDIATELY REPAIRED OR REPLACED TO THE
SATISFACTION OF THE PROPERTY OWNER, OR HIS REPRESENTATIVE, AND EDGE MOBILE REPRESENTATIVE,
AT THE EXPENSE OF THE CONTRACTOR.
14. THE CONTRACTOR SHALL BE RESPONSIBLE FOR, AND SHALL REPLACE OR REMEDY, ANY FAULTY.
IMPROPER, OR INFERIOR MATERIALS OR WORKMANSHIP. OR ANY DAMAGE WHICH SHALL APPEAR WITHIN
ONE YEAR AFTER THE COMPLETION AND ACCEPTANCE OF THE WORK UNDER THIS CONTRACT BY EDGE
MOBILE.
15. ALL SITE WORK SHALL BE CAREFULLY COORDINATED BY GENERAL CONTRACTOR WITH LOCAL UTILITY
COMPANY, TELEPHONE COMPANY, AND ANY OTHER UTILITY COMPANIES HAVING JJRMICTION OVER THIS
LOCATION. IT SHALL BE THE RESPONSISIUTY OF THE GENERAL. CONTRACTOR TO LOCATE ALL "STUNG
UTILITIES, WHETHER SHOWN HEREIN OR NOT, AND TO PROTECT THEM FROM DAMAGE. THE
CONTRACTORS SHALL BEAR ALL EXPENSES FOR REPAIR OR REPLACEMENT OF U71UTIES OR OTHER
PROPERTY DAMAGED IN CONJUNCTION WITH THE EXECUTION OF WORK.
16. THE CONTRACTOR SHALL BE RESPONSIBLE FOR THE COMPLETE SECURITY OF THE PROJECT SITE WHILE
THE JOB IS IN PROGRESS AND UNTIL THE JOB IS COMPLETED AND ACCEPTED BY EDGE MOBILE.
17. THE CONTRACTOR SHALL PROVIDE TEMPORARY WATER, POWER AND TOILET FACILITIES AS REQUIRED BY
THE PROPERTY OWNER AND THE CITY OR GOVERNING AGENCY.
18. THE LATEST EDITION OP ALL PERMITTED AND APPROVED PLANS PERTAINING TO THIS PROJECT SHALL
BE KEPT IN A PLAN BOX AND SHALL NOT BE USED BY WORKERS ALL CONSTRUCTION SETS SHALL
REFLECT THE SAME INFORMATION, THE CONTRACTOR SHALL ALSO MAINTAIN IN DODD CONDITION. ONE
COMRETC SET OF PLANS WITH ALL RNSJONS. ADDENDA AND CHANGE ORDERS, ON THE PREMISES AT
ALL TIMES. THESE ARE TO BE UNDER THE CARE OF THE JOB SUPERINTENDENT.
19. THE CONTRACTOR SMALL REMOVE ALL RUBBISH AND WASTE MATERIALS ON A DAILY BASIS, AND SHALL
EXERCISE STRICT CONTROL OVER JOB CLEANING THROUGHOUT CONSTRUCTION, INCLUDING FINAL
CLEANUP UPON COMPLETION OF WORK. ALL AREAS ARE TO BE LEFT IN A BROOM CLEAN CONDITION
AT THE END OF EACH DAY. ALL MATERIALS COLLECTED DURING CLEANING OPERATIONS SHALL BE
DISPOSED OF OFF -SITE BY THE GENERAL CONTRACTOR.
21. ALL EXPOSED METAL SHALL BE HOT -DIPPED GALVANIZED.
22. SEAL ALL PENETRATIONS THROUGH FIRE -RATED AREAS WITH U.L LISTED OR FIRE MARSHALL
APPROVED MATERIALS IF AND WHERE APPLCABLE TO THIS FACILITY AND PROJECT SITE.
23. PROV10E A PORTABLE FIRE EXTINGUISHER WITH A RATING OF NOT LESS MAN 2 A OR 2 A. 10-BC
WITHIN 75 FEET TRAVEL DISTANCE TO ALL PORTIONS OF THE PROJECT CONSTRUCTION AREA.

CONTRACTOR.

39. THE AREAS OF THE OWNER'S PROPERTY DISTURBED BY THE WORK AND NOT COVERED BY THE TOWER,
EQUIPMENT OR DRIVEWAY, SHALL BE GRADED TO A UNIFORM SLOPE, AND STARIDZED TO PREVENT
EROSION.
40. SUBCONTRACTOR SHALL MINIMIZE DISTURBANCE TO EXISTING SITE DURING CONSTRUCTION. EROSION
CONTROL MEASURES, IF REQUIRED DURING CONSTRUCTION, SHALL BE IN CONFORMANCE WITH THE
LOCAL GUIDELINES FOR EROSION AND SEDIMENT CONTROL
41. NO FILL OR EMBANKMENT MATERIAL SHALL BE PLACED ON FROZEN GROUND. FROZEN MATERIALS,
SNOW OR ICE SHALL NOT BE PLACED IN ANY FILL OR EMBANKMENT.
42. THE SUB GRADE SHALL BE COMPACTED AND BROUGHT TO A SMOOTH UNIFORM GRADE PRIOR TO
FINISHED SURFACE APPLICATION.
43. THE SITE SHALL BE GRADED TO CAUSE SURFACE WATER TO FLOW AWAY FROM THE BTS EQUIPMENT
AND TOWER AREAS.
