HomeMy WebLinkAbout16236 RESOLUTION NO. 16,236 2 3 A RESOLUTION TO AUTHORIZE THE CITY MANAGER TO ENTER 4 INTO A CONTRACT WITH WORKING FIRE FURNITURE & 5 MATTRESS COMPANY, INC., IN THE AMOUNT OF SIXTY-SEVEN 6 THOUSAND, FIVE HUNDRED DOLLARS ($67,500.00), TO PROVIDE 7 REPLACEMENT RECLINERS AT VARIOUS LITTLE ROCK FIRE 8 STATIONS; AND FOR OTHER PURPOSES. 9 10 WHEREAS, the Little Rock Fire Department has identified the need to replace worn out recliners at 11 various Little Rock Fire Stations; and, 12 WHEREAS, Bid No. 2357-0 was issued to provide replacement recliners at various Little Rock 13 Stations, and Working Fire Furniture & Mattress Company, Inc., was the lowest, most responsive bidder 14 out of six(6) bids received; and, 15 WHEREAS, the amount to purchase replacement recliners shall not exceed Sixty-Seven Thousand, 16 Five Hundred Dollars($67,500.00), plus applicable taxes and fees. 17 NOW,THEREFORE,BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS OF THE CITY 18 OF LITTLE ROCK,ARKANSAS: 19 Section 1. The Board of Directors hereby authorizes the City Manager to enter into a contract with 20 Working Fire Furniture& Mattress Company, Inc.,in an amount not to exceed Sixty-Seven Thousand,Five 21 Hundred Dollars ($67,500.00), plus applicable taxes and fees, to provide replacement recliners at various 22 Little Rock Stations. 23 Section 2. Funds for this purchase are available in the Assistance to Firefighters-21 Special Project, 24 Account No. 108519-S51 G049. 25 Section 3. Severability. In the event any title, section, paragraph, item, sentence, clause, phrase, or 26 word of this resolution is declared or adjudged to be invalid or unconstitutional, such declaration or 27 adjudication shall not affect the remaining portions of the resolution which shall remain in full force and 28 effect as if the portion so declared or adjudged invalid or unconstitutional were not originally a part of the 29 resolution. 30 Section 4. Repealer.
