Markham Street Little Rock, AR 72201 RE: Crimson Oaks Storm Drainage Calculations - Preliminary Kanis Road, Little Rock, Arkansas Mr. Smith, Please see the following information regarding a preliminary drainage analysis for the above referenced project located off Kanis Road. The preliminary storm drainage analysis for this project was created using Hydraflow Hydrographs Extension. Per the City of Little Rock Storm Drainage Ordinance, the Rational Method of calculating runoff was used since the drainage area for this project is less than 200 acres. The existing site is approximately 6.35 acres and is undeveloped. The area upstream of the site which has runoff flowing to this site is approximately 7.1 acres. The stormwater enters the site along the northern and western property lines through overland and shallow concentrated flow. We are proposing a new pipe network onsite to collect onsite stormwater to convey it to a series of proposed dry detention ponds along the eastern side of the property. The two ponds will be used for detention and conveyance of the upstream and onsite flows. Stormwater flow will be regulated by utilizing a series of pipes between the ponds while allowing the 100-year storm to pass through the system. We will still be allowing some (reduced) flow offsite to the east as it does today, but most of the flow will exit the site along Kanis Road as it also does today. Thank you for your assistance.
