Little Rock Planning and Development
To Whom It May Concern;
I, Jonda White, want to turn my property at 10014 Chicot Road into a group home facility for
women.
Second Chances Group Home for Women (SCGHW) will provide 6 beds to individuals in
recovery from substance abuse and other related issues.
SCGHW will not provide services or have a supervisory staff at the facility. The facility will
provide parking for the visitors in front and back of the facility. The women at SCGHW will not
have their own transportation, but they will have easy access to public transportation transit.
There is a high need for group houses for women. Not just for the facilities but for the women
too. Some women need a second chance to become more productive in their lives and society.
SCGHW can provide a supportive and understanding environment where women can address
similar issues and work towards recovery. SCGHW aims to provide a safe and sober
environment for women to continue their recovery journey and transition back into society.
A group home for women in recovery can provide many benefits including:
•A structured environment: SCGHW will have set rules and routines that give residents a
sense of structure and stability. This can be especially beneficial for women in the early
recovery process who may struggle to establish healthy habits and routines.
•Supportive community: Living with other women in recovery can provide a sense of
comradery and support. Residents can share their experiences.
•Access to resources: SCGHW will have connections to local treatment centers, therapists,
and other resources to help residents continue their recovery journey.
•Independence: Group homes provide a safe and sober living environment and allow
residents to practice living independently. Residents at SCGHW will be responsible for
cooking, cleaning, and other household chores, which will help them prepare for life
outside of a treatment center. By living in a group home, women can learn to navigate
real-world challenges and develop the skills they need to maintain sobriety once they
leave. SWGHW wants to help women get that second chance.
Our Mission and Vision
Our vision is to become the number one choice when it comes to group home facilities
in Little Rock and to grow to be among the top group home facilities in the U.S.A within the
next 10 years.
Our mission is to build a group home facility that will meet and surpass the need of all
the residents of the facility so they will become good citizens in society.
