3 A RESOLUTION TO AUTHORIZE THE CITY MANAGER TO ENTER
4 INTO A CONTRACT WITH SMART FORD, IN AN AMOUNT NOT TO
5 EXCEED ONE HUNDRED THIRTY-THREE THOUSAND,SIX HUNDRED
6 THIRTY-TWO DOLLARS (S133,632.00), PLUS APPLICABLE TAXES
7 AND FEES, FOR THE PURCHASE OF THREE (3) FORD F-150 PICK-UP
8 TRUCKS FOR THE PUBLIC WORKS DEPARTMENT SOLID WASTE
9 DIVISION; AND FOR OTHER PURPOSES.

11 WHEREAS,the Public Works Department Solid Waste Division has demonstrated a need to purchase
12 three (3) Ford F-150 Pick-Up Trucks to replace aged, high maintenance units currently in the City's fleet;
13 and,
14 WHEREAS,insurance proceeds were received from garbage trucks that were totaled in 2021 and 2022,
15 in order to purchase replacement vehicles; and,
16 WHEREAS, vendor selection for three (3) Ford F-150 Pick-Up Trucks, meeting the specifications
17 needed,was made through the Arkansas Department of Transportation, Contract No. H-23-229R; and,
18 WHEREAS,the total purchase price for three(3) Ford F-150 Pick-Up Trucks shall not to exceed One
19 Hundred Thirty-Three Thousand, Six Hundred Thirty-Two Dollars ($133,632.00), plus applicable taxes
20 and fees.
21 NOW,THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS OF THE CITY
22 OF LITTLE ROCK,ARKANSAS:
23 Section 1. The City Manager is authorized to enter into an agreement with Smart Ford,for the purchase
24 of three(3) Ford F-150 Pick-Up Trucks in an amount not to exceed One Hundred Thirty-Three Thousand,
25 Six Hundred Thirty-Two Dollars ($133,632.00), plus applicable taxes and fees, to be used by the Public
26 Works Department Solid Waste Division.
27 Section 2. Funds for this purchase are allocated in Solid Waste, Account No. 603110-72300.
28 Section 3. Severability. In the event any title, section, paragraph, item, sentence, clause, phrase, or
29 word of this resolution is declared or adjudged to be invalid or unconstitutional, such declaration or
30 adjudication shall not affect the remaining portions of the resolution which shall remain in full force and
31 effect as if the portion so declared or adjudged invalid or unconstitutional were not originally a part of the
32 resolution.
33 Section 4. Repealer. All laws, ordinances, resolutions,or parts of the same,that are inconsistent with
34 the provisions of this resolution, are hereby repealed to the extent of such inconsistency.
