As previously stated, Bylites desires to remove the existing residential structure and build a two story addition for warehouse purposes. The existing residential structure is a non-contributing structure to the Historical District, is in a state of disrepair, and is currently inhabitable. The structure has been covered with aluminum siding. The original wood siding and windows surrounds would require total replacement. The renovation of this structure is not economically viable, nor would it have any use as a residence at this location. The previous owner had no desire to renovate this structure and has sold the land to Bylites. The proposed remodel of the residential structure along with the proposed addition provides Bylites with much -needed storage space and allows them to remain at this location. If there are any questions or additional information is needed, please call. We appreciate your consideration on this application. Yours very truly, Teri G. Following is our response to Commission and Staff Comments from the May 14th Board Meeting: 1. The owner will make a "good faith" effort to find an individual or organization to relocate the existing structure in lieu of demolition. 2. The McMath Street set -back of the proposed warehouse addition will align with the existing residential set -back. 3. Window units have been added to the West fagade. "Window reliefs" have been modified on the North and south facades. 4. Exterior wall material has been changed from EIFS to Stucco. 5. Proposed wood fence will be 6' high. Existing wood fence will be modified to 6' height. 6. The existing hedge row on the North Property line will be retained as possible. 7. The existing gravel lot will be paved. 8. The existing red brick (at Church addition) will not be painted at this time. 9. The existing night light will remain. No new exterior lighting will be added at this time. 10. The existing dumpster location is noted on the revised drawings. If there are any questions or additional information is needed, please call. We appreciate your consideration on this application.
