Dear City of Little Rock Planning Commission:
We humbly submit this application for a Certificate of Appropriateness on behalf of MacArthur Place LLC, for
the MacArthur Place Apartments project consisting of an existing 5-unit mixed use building for consideration
under the short-term rental (STR-2) for non- owner-occupied structures. The subject property currently consists
of 5 rental units and we are requesting alternate use as short term rental units to provide maximum flexibility
when address the housing needs of the community.
Legal Description of Property:
North 1/2 Lot 11 & all of Lot 12, Block 5, Masonic Addition to the City of Little Rock, Pulaski County, Arkansas
1001 McMath Avenue, Little Rock, Arkansas 72202 is an existing commercial mixed-use structure constructed in
2016. This building contains 4 each 1bedroom,1 Bath short term rental units and one ground floor studio
apartment. This building has been operating as rental housing since its construction in 2016.
MacArthur Place LLC has contracted with EJ United Investments as a property manager has been managing
rental units since 2007 and currently oversees 24hour emergency and routine response on all rental units.
Additionally, management staff resides within 5 minutes of the location to address immediate needs of guest.
