3 A RESOLUTION TO AMEND RESOLUTION NO. 16,179(DECEMBER 12,
4 2023), TO AUTHORIZE THE CITY MANAGER TO AMEND THE
5 CONTRACT WITH SIDDONS-MARTIN EMERGENCY GROUP, IN AN
6 AMOUNT NOT TO EXCEED ONE MILLION, FIVE HUNDRED SIXTY
7 THOUSAND, FIVE HUNDRED THIRTY-THREE DOLLARS
8 ($1,560,533.00), PLUS APPLICABLE TAXES AND FEES, FOR THE
9 PURCHASE OF ONE(1)PIERCE CUSTOM VELOCITY RESCUE TRUCK
10 FOR THE LITTLE ROCK FIRE DEPARTMENT; AND FOR OTHER
11 PURPOSES.

13 WHEREAS, the Little Rock Fire Department (LRFD) has demonstrated a need to purchase one (1)
14 Pierce Custom Velocity Rescue Truck to replace an aged, high maintenance unit currently in the City's
15 fleet; and,
16 WHEREAS, vendor selection for one (1) Pierce Custom Velocity Rescue Truck, meeting the
17 specifications needed,was made through the Houston Galveston Area Council(HGAC)Contract No.FS 12-
18 19A; and,
19 WHEREAS,Little Rock, Ark., Resolution No. 15,975 (May 2, 2023), authorized the City to advance
20 its own funds to pay costs for Fire Apparatus prior to the issuance of the additional series of Bonds and to
21 reimburse itself from the proceeds of a future issuance; and,
22 WHEREAS,in Little Rock,Ark.,Resolution No. 16,179(December 12,2023),the Board of Directors
23 authorized the City Manager to execute a Contract with Siddons-Martin Emergency Group to purchase(1)
24 Pierce Custom Velocity Rescue Truck, in an amount not to exceed Seven Hundred Fifty Thousand Dollars
25 ($750,000.00), plus applicable taxes and fees; and,
26 WHEREAS, LRFD requests authorization to amend the agreement with Siddons-Martin Emergency
27 Group to reflect the correct total cost of the One Million Five Hundred Sixty Thousand, Five Hundred
28 Thirty-Three Dollars($1,560,533.00), plus applicable taxes and fees.
29 NOW,THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS OF THE CITY
30 OF LITTLE ROCK,ARKANSAS:
31 Section 1. The City Manager is authorized to enter into an amended agreement with Siddons-Martin
32 Emergency Group for the purchase of one (1) Pierce Custom Velocity Rescue Truck in an amount not to
33 exceed One Million Five Hundred Sixty Thousand, Five Hundred Thirty-Three Dollars ($1,560,533.00),
34 plus applicable taxes and fees, to be used by the Little Rock Fire Department.

1 Section 2. Funds for this purchase are allocated through Grant and future Bond Funding.
2 Section 3. Severability. In the event any title, section, paragraph, item, sentence, clause, phrase, or
3 word of this resolution is declared or adjudged to be invalid or unconstitutional, such declaration or
4 adjudication shall not affect the remaining portions of the resolution which shall remain in full force and
5 effect as if the portion so declared or adjudged invalid or unconstitutional were not originally a part of the
6 resolution.
7 Section 4. Repealer. All laws,ordinances,resolutions, including but not limited to Little Rock, Ark.,
8 Resolution No. 15,975 (May 2, 2023)and Little Rock, Ark. Resolution No. 16,179 (December 23, 2023),
9 or parts of the same, that are inconsistent with the provisions of this resolution, are hereby repealed to the
10 extent of such inconsistency.
