HomeMy WebLinkAbout16206 1 RESOLUTION NO. 16,206 2 3 A RESOLUTION TO AUTHORIZE THE CITY MANAGER TO ENTER 4 INTO A CONTRACT WITH SITESCAPES, INC., IN AN AMOUNT NOT 5 TO EXCEED ONE HUNDRED SIXTEEN THOUSAND, ONE HUNDRED 6 DOLLARS ($116,100.00), PLUS APPLICABLE TAXES AND FEES, FOR 7 THE PURCHASE OF 108 TRASH RECEPTACLES FOR THE 8 DOWNTOWN LITTLE ROCK AREA; AND FOR OTHER PURPOSES 9 10 WHEREAS,it was determined through a ground survey by the Public Works Department that the City 11 of Little Rock owns four(4) different styles and colors of trash receptacles on Markham Street/President 12 Clinton Avenue,Capitol Avenue and Main Street;and, 13 WHEREAS, the current trash receptacles do not have a way to prevent people from opening the 14 receptacles and leaving trash exposed and visible to the public;and, 15 WHEREAS, in consideration of our residents and the vibrance of our downtown streetscape,Bid No. 16 2308 was issued, and Sitescapes, Inc., provided the City with the most economical and aesthetically 17 appealing option while also meeting the specifications out of three(3)bidders; and, 18 WHEREAS, currently, there are eighty-three (83) existing receptacles; however, staff has identified 19 additional locations to adequately serve the Downtown Area; and, 20 WHEREAS,the total purchase price for 108 trash receptacles shall not exceed One Hundred Sixteen 21 Thousand,One Hundred Dollars($116,100.00), plus applicable taxes and fees. 22 NOW,THEREFORE,BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS OF THE CITY 23 OF LITTLE ROCK,ARKANSAS: 24 Section 1. The City Manager is hereby authorized to enter into an agreement with Sitescapes Inc., for 25 the purchase of 108 trash receptacles to be located on Markham Street/President Clinton Avenue, from 26 Broadway Street to Interstate 30;Capitol Avenue,from Broadway Street to Interstate 30; and Main Street, 27 from Interstate 630 to Markham Street, in an amount not to exceed One Hundred Sixteen Thousand, One 28 Hundred Dollars($116,100.00), plus applicable taxes and fees. 29 Section 2. Funding for this project is Public Works Special Project,Account No. S 10A237. 30 Section 3. Severability. In the event any title, section, paragraph, item, sentence, clause, phrase, or 31 word of this resolution is declared or adjudged to be invalid or unconstitutional, such declaration or 32 adjudication shall not affect the remaining portions of the resolution which shall remain in full force and [Page 1 of 21 1 effect as if the portion so declared or adjudged invalid or unconstitutional was not originally a part of the 2 resolution. 3 Section 4. Repealer.
