3 A RESOLUTION TO AMEND RESOLUTION NO. 16,144 (NOVEMBER 7,
4 2023), TO AUTHORIZE THE CITY MANAGER TO ENTER INTO AN
5 AMENDED CONTRACT WITH JACKSON BROWN PALCULICT
6 ARCHITECTS, IN A REVISED AMOUNT NOT TO EXCEED FOUR
7 HUNDRED FORTY-EIGHT THOUSAND, FIVE HUNDRED DOLLARS
8 ($448,500.00), TO PROVIDE ARCHITECTURAL DESIGN SERVICES TO
9 REBUILD FIRE STATION NO. 9, LOCATED AT 1324 NORTH
10 SHACKLEFORD ROAD; AND FOR OTHER PURPOSES.

12 WHEREAS, as a result of the March 31, 2023, EF-3 Tornado, Fire Station No. 9, located at 1324
13 North Shackleford Road, was deemed a total loss; and,
14 WHEREAS, a Request for Qualifications, Event No. 2146-0, was issued for Architectural Design
15 Services to rebuild Fire Station No. 9; and,
16 WHEREAS, pursuant to this Statement of Qualification process, a Selection Review Committee
17 selected Jackson Brown Palculict Architects as the most qualified firm from the seven (7) candidates on
18 the vendor list submitting proposals; and,
19 WHEREAS, in Little Rock, Ark. Resolution No. 16,144 (November 7, 2023), the Board of Directors
20 approved the City Manager to enter into a contract for Architectural Design Services, in an amount not to
21 exceed Three Hundred Seventy-Three Thousand, Seven Hundred Fifty Dollars ($373,750.00), which
22 includes a 15%contingency; and,
23 WHEREAS, the Little Rock Fire Department requests approval to enter into an Amended Contract
24 with Jackson Brown Palculict Architects for Architectural Design Services to rebuild Fire Station No 9,
25 for the corrected estimated contact amount of Four Hundred Forty-Eight Thousand, Five Hundred Dollars
26 ($484,500.00), which includes a 15%contingency; and,
27 WHEREAS,funding for this project is available in the FEMA Disaster Fire Special Project, Account
28 No. 270519-G51 F231.
29 NOW,THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS OF THE CITY
30 OF LITTLE ROCK,ARKANSAS:
31 Section 1. The City Manager is authorized to enter into an amended agreement with Jackson Brown
32 Palculict Architects, in an amount not to exceed Four Hundred Fort- Eight Thousand, Five Hundred
33 Dollars ($448,500.00), which includes a 15% contingency. to provide Architectural Design Services to

1 rebuild Station No. 9, located at 1324 North Shackleford Road, which was deemed a total loss as a result
2 of the March 31, 2023, EF-3 Tornado.
3 Section 2. Funds for this Agreement will come from the FEMA Disaster Fire Special Project,
4 Account No. 270519-G51 F231.
5 Section 3. Severability. In the event any title, section, paragraph, item, sentence, clause, phrase, or
6 word of this resolution is declared or adjudged to be invalid or unconstitutional, such declaration or
7 adjudication shall not affect the remaining portions of the resolution which shall remain in full force and
8 effect as if the portion so declared or adjudged invalid or unconstitutional were not originally a part of the
9 resolution.
10 Section 3. Repealer. All laws, ordinances, resolutions, or parts of the same, including but not
Il limited to Little Rock Ark., Resolution 16,144 (November 7, 2023) that are inconsistent with the
12 provisions of this resolution, are hereby repealed to the extent of such inconsistency.
