Do not click links or open attachments unless you recognize the sender and know the content is safe. Good Morning, Ms. Ratzlaff: Attached is a picture of the new sign and the forms you requested. The dimensions are 34.5x38.5. I installed the new sign at the same location and used the same mounting posts the previous one used. The material is the same type as the previous sign, a HDP cut/designed to look like a wooden sign. Please let me know if you need anything else. To summarize some basic information about the MacArthur Park Local Ordinance District and the Little Rock Historic District Commission: The property at 610 E 6th is within the MacArthur Park Local Ordinance Historic District. The goal of the local ordinance historic district is to protect and preserve the unique and valued qualities of such an area, its urban design, architectural character, and historic materials in buildings and in landscapes. A property owner in this district is subject to the rules and regulations as set forth by the City of Little Rock ordinances, Municipal Code Chapter 23, Sec. 76-160, that is based on Arkansas State law. Any exterior renovation of structures, additions, fencing, or other site features need to be either administratively approved by staff or reviewed by the Little Rock Historic District Commission at their regularly monthly public meetings. Ou records indicate that a new signage was erected without a Certificate of Appropriateness (COA) and in violation of Sec. 26-115 of the Little Rock Code of Ordinances, as well as without a sign permit. To bring the property in compliance with state law, obtain a COA from the Little Rock Historic District Commission by filing an application and fulfilling all requirements thereof. An application is attached here for your convenience. The new signage can be administratively reviewed. Please complete Page 4 of the application and provide a current photo of the new sign as well as any documentation identifying sign location, dimensions, and materials (typically provided by the sign company you worked with). Additionally, I misspoke over the phone, since you are currently not the property owner, you will need to provide a notarized statement from the property owner to pursue a COA. You may use Page 6 of the application for this purpose.
