Just a friendly reminder that the deadline to mail the public noƟce leƩers by cerƟfied mail is by October 19th and to
make sure to provide the list of addresses and a copy of the public no Ɵce leƩer to staff beforehand for review.
AddiƟonally, the COA public noƟce property signs can be picked up at the Planning & Development Department at 723
W. Markham and must be posted on the property at least 10 days before the scheduled public hearing on November
2nd. I’ve put the signs at the front table on the first floor with your name on them in case you come by when I am out of
office.

Good morning Brandyn,
Please see the aƩached leƩer for the CerƟficate of Appropriateness applicaƟon to the LiƩle Rock Historic District
Commission for solar panels at 1402 S Commerce. Pending the filing fee payment, your applica Ɵon will be heard at the
November 2, 2023 public hearing. Our department received your check for the Historic District Commission filing fee by
the filing deadline; however, we are unable to deposit the check because it was made out to “Planning & Development
Dept Hannah Ratzlaff”. I can extend the deadline for the filing fee if you could provide another check made out to “City
of LiƩle Rock Planning & Development”. If you could also provide a return envelope, I can mail back the first check.
Please follow instrucƟons exactly for public noƟficaƟon requirements as outline in the COA applicaƟon
document. Remember to send staff a copy of the completed public no Ɵce leƩer with the correct public hearing date,
locaƟon, and Ɵme and with a signature from the applicant. The public no Ɵce leƩer must be legible and reflect the full
scope of work for the requested project. AddiƟonally, remember to provide staff with the list of addresses obtained
from a licensed abstractor before sending the cerƟfied leƩer to surrounding property owners.
