FAIR K-8 PREPARATORY 5 ACADEMY 21ST CENTURY AFTER-SCHOOL/OUT-OF-SCHOOL TIME 6 PROGRAM,IN AN AMOUNT NOT TO EXCEED ONE HUNDRED FORTY 7 THREE THOUSAND AND 00/100 DOLLARS ($143,000.00); AND FOR 8 OTHER PURPOSES. 9 10 WHEREAS, in the past the 21'Century After School/Out-of-School Time Program ("Program")has 11 received grant funds through 21St Century and the American Rescue Plan Act ("ARPA") Elementary and 12 Secondary School Emergency Relief Fund("ESSER")Program Funds; and, 13 WHEREAS,presently the Program is not receiving funds from ARPA or ESSER; and, 14 WHEREAS,the Program has over six(6)years of experience in running academically focused After 15 School Programs and currently has approximately 990 students enrolled;and, 16 WHEREAS, in the Program, students receive homework assistance, reading assessment and 17 assignment, math and science enrichment, health and nutrition activities, and positive reinforcement from 18 staff;and, 19 WHEREAS,the Commission on Children,Youth, and Families has endorsed this allocation;and, 20 WHEREAS, the Program requires funds in an amount not to exceed One Hundred Forty-Three 21 Thousand Dollars($143,000.00). 22 NOW,THEREFORE,BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY BOARD OF DIRECTORS OF THE 23 CITY OF LITTLE ROCK THAT: 24 Section 1. The City Manager is authorized to allocate funds to the 21st Century After-School/Out-of- 25 School Time Program at J.A. Fair K-8 Preparatory Academy, in an amount not to exceed One Hundred 26 Forty-Three Thousand Dollars($143,000.00). 27 Section 2. Funds for the Program are available in the 2023 Prevention, Intervention and Treatment 28 (PIT)Allocation Account No. 108159-S 15C. 29 Section 3. In the event any title, section, paragraph, item, sentence, clause, phrase, or word of this 30 resolution is declared or adjudged to be invalid or unconstitutional, such declaration or adjudication shall 31 not affect the remaining portions of the resolution which shall remain in full force and effect as if the portion 32 so declared or adjudged invalid or unconstitutional were not originally a part of the resolution. 33 Section 4. Repealer. All laws,ordinances,resolutions,or parts of the same,that are inconsistent with 34 the provisions of this resolution,are hereby repealed to the extent of such inconsistency.
