HomeMy WebLinkAbout16176 1 RESOLUTION NO. 16,176 2 3 A RESOLUTION TO AUTHORIZE MAYOR AND CITY CLERK TO 4 ENTER INTO AN AGREEMENT WITH ELOPAK, INC., AND/OR ITS 5 ASSIGNEE, TO SELL APPROXIMATELY TWENTY-FIVE (25) ACRES 6 OF LAND LOCATED IN THE CITY OF LITTLE ROCK, PULASKI 7 COUNTY, ARKANSAS, BY THE CITY OF LITTLE ROCK, ARKANSAS, 8 FOR THE BENEFIT OF THE LITTLE ROCK PORT AUTHORITY; AND 9 FOR OTHER PURPOSES. 10 1 1 WHEREAS, the Little Rock Port Authority markets land for economic development purposes and 12 encourages industry to locate at the Port of Little Rock;and, 13 WHEREAS,the Little Rock Port Authority recently developed a Master Growth Plan that identified 14 various industry segments that would be good industry partners;and, 15 WHEREAS,Elopak, Inc.,has approached the Little Rock Port Authority about buying approximately 16 twenty-five(25)acres of land located at the Port of Little Rock for the purpose of locating their American 17 manufacturing facility. 18 NOW,THEREFORE,BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS OF THE CITY 19 OF LITTLE ROCK: 20 Section 1. The City of Little Rock Board of Directors authorize the Mayor and City Clerk to enter 21 into a Real Estate Contract to sell approximately twenty-five(25)acres of land located at the Port of Little 22 Rock to Elopak, Inc., for Six Hundred Twenty-Five Thousand Dollars ($625,000.00), which is more 23 particularly described as: 24 The property along Zueber Road, northwest of the Amazon Facility; the final property 25 description will be defined from the Alta Survey and future plat. 26 Section 2. Severability,. In the event any title,section,paragraph, item, sentence,clause,phrase,or word 27 of this resolution is declared or adjudged to be invalid or unconstitutional,such declaration or adjudication 28 shall not affect the remaining portions of the resolution which shall remain in full force and effect as if the 29 portion so declared or adjudged invalid or unconstitutional were not originally a part of the resolution. 30 Section 3.
