3 A RESOLUTION TO AUTHORIZE THE CITY MANAGER TO ENTER
4 INTO A CONTRACT WITH LITTLE ROCK REPAIR SHOP, IN AN
5 AMOUNT NOT TO EXCEED ONE HUNDRED SIX THOUSAND, NINE
6 HUNDRED SEVENTY-FIVE DOLLARS ($106,975.00), PLUS
7 APPLICABLE TAXES AND FEES, FOR THE RESTORATION OF THE
8 HISTORIC OVER THE JUMPS CAROUSEL AT THE LITTLE ROCK
9 ZOO; AND FOR OTHER PURPOSES.

11 WHEREAS, the Little Rock Zoo requests authorization for the restoration of carousel horses,
12 carriages, and miscellaneous ancillary pieces of the historic Over the Jumps Carousel at the Little Rock
13 Zoo;and,
14 WHEREAS, after a competitive bidding process, Bid No. 2264, it was determined that Little Rock
15 Repair Shop, was the sole bidder with a bid total of One Hundred Six Thousand,Nine Hundred Seventy-
16 Five Dollars($106,975.00),plus applicable taxes and fees,for the restoration of the carousel project.
17 NOW,THEREFORE,BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS OF THE CITY
18 OF LITTLE ROCK,ARKANSAS:
19 Section 1. The City Manager is authorized to enter into an agreement with Little Rock Repair Shop,
20 in a total amount not to exceed One Hundred Six Thousand, Nine Hundred Seventy-Five Dollars
21 ($106,975.00), plus applicable taxes and fees,for the restoration of carousel horses,carriages,and miscel-
22 laneous ancillary pieces of the historic Over the Jumps Carousel at the Little Rock Zoo.
23 Section 2. The Little Rock Zoo Carousel Restoration Project will be funded from the Carousel
24 Maintenance Special Project Fund, Account No. 108659-S71 B455.
25 Section 3. Severability. In the event any title, section, paragraph, item, sentence, clause, phrase, or
26 word of this resolution is declared or adjudged to be invalid or unconstitutional, such declaration or
27 adjudication shall not affect the remaining portions of the resolution which shall remain in full force and
28 effect as if the portion so declared or adjudged invalid or unconstitutional were not originally a part of the
29 resolution.
30 Section 4. Repealer. All laws,ordinances,resolutions,or parts of the same,that are inconsistent with
31 the provisions of this resolution,are hereby repealed to the extent of such inconsistency.
