want to build a carport. I am my own contractor and I am working
with the purpose of building the carport myself. The carport will be as
small as I can make it which is why I intend to make it 19 x 19 on
every side. The carport will also be 3 feet away from my house so it
will not be connected. I do not intend for the carport to be very close to
the street road so it will not be that long. The carport will be made out
of wood. I will also add shingle to the roof. I believe it will have a gable
roof as shown below in the photo. I will leave the wood the color it is
unless I decide to paint it later on. The carport will be in the front yard,
on my driveway. One reason I want to build the carport is to protect
my cars from the weather (sun, rain, cold, snow etc.) I work as a
builder and have experience with this type of build.
