HomeMy WebLinkAbout16164 1 RESOLUTION NO. 16,164 2 3 A RESOLUTION TO AUTHORIZE THE CITY MANAGER TO ENTER 4 INTO A CONTRACT WITH SPRUNG INSTANT STRUCTURES, IN THE 5 TOTAL AMOUNT OF FOUR HUNDRED TWENTY-FOUR THOUSAND, 6 SIXTY EIGHT AND 25/100 DOLLARS ($424,068.25), PLUS APPLICABLE 7 TAXES AND FEES, FOR THE PURCHASE OF A SIGNATURE SERIES 8 STRUCTURE FOR THE LITTLE ROCK FIRE DEPARTMENT; AND FOR 9 OTHER PURPOSES. 10 11 WHEREAS, it is critical that the Little Rock Fire Department (LRFD) be equipped with sufficient 12 space, with reliable tools and equipment; and, 13 WHEREAS, LRFD requests authorization for the City Manager to enter into a contract with Sprung 14 Instant Structures to purchase a Signature Series Structure for the temporary Fire Station No. 9, located at 15 1509 Green Mountain Drive; and, 16 WHEREAS,the structure will act as the apparatus bay at the temporary Fire Station No. 9; and, 17 WHEREAS, vendor selection was made from the General Services Administration (GSA) Contract 18 No. 47QSWAI9D005G to purchase the structure; and, 19 WHEREAS, the cost of the structure shall not exceed Four Hundred Twenty-Four Thousand, Sixty- 20 Eight and 25/100 Dollars ($424,068.25), plus applicable taxes and fees, and includes a 15% contingency, 21 if needed to complete the Apparatus Bay Project. 22 NOW,THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS OF THE CITY 23 OF LITTLE ROCK,ARKANSAS: 24 Section 1. The City Manager is authorized to enter into a contract with Signature Series Structure for 25 the temporary Fire Station No. 9, located at 1509 Green Mountain Drive, at a total cost not exceed Four 26 Hundred Twenty-Four Thousand, Sixty-Eight and 25/100 Dollars($424,068.25), plus applicable taxes and 27 fees, including, a 15% contingency, if needed to complete the Apparatus Bay Project. 28 Section 2. Funding for the purchase is available through a FEMA Disaster 2023 Special Project, 29 Account No. 270519-G5 I DF231. 30 Section 3. Severability. In the event any title, section, paragraph, item, sentence, clause, phrase, or 31 word of this resolution is declared or adjudged to be invalid or unconstitutional, such declaration or 32 adjudication shall not affect the remaining portions of the resolution which shall remain in full force and 33 effect as if the portion so declared or adjudged invalid or unconstitutional were not originally a part of the 34 resolution.
