3 A RESOLUTION TO AUTHORIZE THE CITY MANAGER TO ENTER
4 INTO A CONTRACT WITH LANDSCAPE STRUCTURES, INC., FOR A
5 TOTAL CONTRACT AMOUNT OF ONE HUNDRED SEVENTY
6 THOUSAND DOLLARS ($170,000.00), FOR THE CONSTRUCTION OF A
7 CUSTOM PLAYGROUND AT PANKEY PARK; AND FOR OTHER PUR-
8 POSES.

10 WHEREAS,the Parks&Recreation Department Staff has identified the need for a new playground at
1 1 Pankey Park;and,
12 WHEREAS,citizens in the Pankey Park Neighborhood and the surrounding area have supported this
13 project for many years and are excited to see improvements be made to Pankey Park; and,
14 WHEREAS, the new playground in Pankey Park will meet new accessible standards for the
15 Department and provide an excellent new recreational value to the park;and,
16 WHEREAS,the project was quoted utilizing Sourcewell Agreement Cooperative Purchasing Program
17 No. 010521-LSI, for a total contract amount of One Hundred Seventy Thousand Dollars($170,000.00),to
18 Landscape Structures Inc., for the construction of a custom playground at Pankey Park.
19 NOW,THEREFORE,BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS OF THE CITY
20 OF LITTLE ROCK,ARKANSAS:
21 Section 1. The City Manager is authorized to enter into an agreement with Landscape Structures,Inc.,
22 in an amount not to exceed a total cost of One Hundred Seventy Thousand Dollars ($170,000.00), for the
23 construction and installation of a new playground located in Pankey Park.
24 Section 2. Funds are available from the Limited Tax General Obligation Capital Improvement Bonds,
25 Kiwanis Park,Account No. 332459-B45D009.
26 Section 3. Severability. In the event any title, section, paragraph, item, sentence, clause, phrase, or
27 word of this resolution is declared or adjudged to be invalid or unconstitutional, such declaration or adju-
28 dication shall not affect the remaining portions of the resolution which shall remain in full force and effect
29 as if the portion so declared or adjudged invalid or unconstitutional were not originally a part of the reso-
30 lution.
31 Section 4. Repealer. All laws,ordinances,resolutions,or parts of the same,that are inconsistent with
32 the provisions of this resolution,are hereby repealed to the extent of such inconsistency.
