HomeMy WebLinkAbout16155 1 RESOLUTION NO. 16,155 2 3 A RESOLUTION TO APPROVE THE USE OF HOME CHDO SET-ASIDE 4 FUNDS FOR BETTER COMMUNITY DEVELOPMENT, INC., FOR THE 5 DEVELOPMENT OF THREE (3) AFFORDABLE SINGLE-FAMILY 6 HOUSING UNITS FOR SALE WITHIN THE CITY OF LITTLE ROCK, 7 ARKANSAS; AND FOR OTHER PURPOSES 8 9 WHEREAS, the City receives HOME Investment Partnerships Community Development Housing 10 Organization(CHDO)Set-Aside to produce affordable housing within the City; and, 11 WHEREAS, after a Request for Proposals, Better Community Development, Inc., was selected to 12 receive Four Hundred Eighty-Seven Thousand, Five Hundred Dollars($487,500.00),to develop three(3) 13 affordable single-family units for sale at 4118 West 11th Street;3723 West 8th Street;and 1409 South Pine 14 Street;and, 15 WHEREAS,this recommendation was made by the Community Housing Development Organization 16 (CHDO). 17 NOW,THEREFORE,BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS OF THE CITY 18 OF LITTLE ROCK,ARKANSAS: 19 Section 1. The City Manager is authorized to enter into an agreement with Better Community 20 Development, Inc., in the amount of Four Hundred Eighty-Seven Thousand, Five Hundred Dollars 21 ($487,500.00),to develop three(3)affordable single-family units for sale at 4118 West 11th Street; 3723 22 West 8th Street;and 1409 South Pine Street. 23 Section 2. Funds for this agreement are available in the HOME Investment Partnerships Community 24 Development Housing Organization Set-Aside Funds the City receives,Account Nos. 240009-G3560822, 25 240009-03560823 and 240009-G3553722. 26 Section 3. Severability. In the event any title, section, paragraph, item, sentence, clause, phrase, or 27 word of this resolution is declared or adjudged to be invalid or unconstitutional, such declaration or 28 adjudication shall not affect the remaining portions of the resolution which shall remain in full force and 29 effect as if the portion so declared or adjudged invalid or unconstitutional were not originally a part of the 30 resolution. 31 Section 4. Repealer.
