Dear Dana:
I am writing this letter to support the Little Rock School District request to relocate six or
seven portable buildings from various locations in the City of Little Rock to Central High
School.
To support the construction at Central High School, which we expect will continue for
approximately two years, it is necessary that we relocate children out of the school into
portable facilities. Our plan calls for putting seven or eight portables on the Central High
campus and having them remain there through out the construction period which, we
expect will last approximately two years, beginning in October/ November of 2002 and
hopefully will run until the same period of time in 2004.
It is out intention that at the completion of the construction period, these portables will be
relocated from the Central High campus, and probably dispose of.

Placement of the proposed portable classroom buildings described in the attached
applications is approved subject to compliance with the following conditions:
Y Assure all lighting is directed downward and into the school site.
0 Comply with any spacing requirements of Fire Department or Building Code Life
Safety.
Y All structures must be skirted.
Provide hard surface walkway from each building to paved parking lot or to
connecting sidewalks.
Do not cut trees, if possible.
• Paint or improve the structures to be as compatible with the school building as
possible.
■ Placement of the buildings is approved during the period of construction at the
school; after which, they must be. removed. Anticipated removal date is fall of
2004.
