Forestry by the Planning Commission that evening.

staff. This letter is to inform you that the item will be heard at the June 4, 2002 Little Rock City .
Board of Directors meeting. The Board of Directors meets on the second floor of City Hall, 500
West Markham Street, and starts at6:00 p.m. This is a public meeting, and you are encouraged

This letter is to confirm that you have applied for zoning with our department for the
enclosed property in T1 N R14W 23 generally located at 18100 Joanwood Ln. Your
zoning file number is Z -7200-B. Attached is a map that we created to represent your
property. Your land will be labeled with your zoning file number. The map may have
adjacent property owners on it. Please check your property boundaries for
accuracy.
You have requested AF, Agricultural and Forestry for this parcel of property. All
lands will either be zoned AF, Agricultural and Forestry or R-2, Single Family at the
beginning of the Zoning Plan item. The commission will then proceed with the non-
residential zoning either individually or in groups and consider the parcels requesting
a non-residential zoning category.
The extraterritorial issues: Master Street Plan, Future Land Use Plan and the Zoning
Plan will be discussed in that order in a public hearing at the City of Little Rock
Planning Commission on April 25, 2002. The hearing will start at 4:00 p.m. You are

Dear Mr. Minyard:
Pursuant to your instructions, this is formally to submit our Notification/Request
that the above property be designated so as to permit its continued use for
Agricultural/Farming purposes.
The property is fenced and gated and is located approximately two hundred
yards off Lawson road and consists of some 6-7 acres. The place includes our home, a
single family residence, and a recreational horse barn with guest stalls, tack and
storage rooms, a bunk house and sheds, surrounded by an arena, pasture and woods.
Heavily treed private properties abut to the North and South and a large cattle operation
(George Ranch) to the West. We currently run five saddle horses and occasionally
overnight -guest board up to four other animals. We garden raise a variety of vegetables
and corn and cast bermuda and fescue for the horses. Chickens, geese, ducks and
other fowl and livestock are occasionally kept on the property.
I am not familiar with the City's overall zoning plans for this area, but we have no
objection to such as long as we and our children can continue to farm and ride.
Please advise if further information is required.
