3 RESOLUTION TO AUTHORIZE THE CITY MANAGER TO ENTER
4 INTO A CONTRACT WITH CANVAS COMMUNITY,IN AN AMOUNT
5 NOT TO EXCEED ONE HUNDRED SEVENTY-EIGHT THOUSAND,FIVE
6 HUNDRED THIRTY-SEVEN AND 90/100 DOLLARS ($178,537.90), FOR
7 THE BRIDGE TO WORK PROGRAM; AND FOR OTHER PURPOSES.

9 WHEREAS,the City of Little Rock issued Request for Proposal(RFP)No.2227 for a Bridge to Work
10 Program to provide individuals experiencing homelessness with the dignity of work while fulfilling requests
11 for litter pick-up to enhance the City's overall appearance; and,
12 WHEREAS,Canvas Community was the highest scoring respondent to RFP No. 2227;and,
13 WHEREAS, the Selection Committee found Canvas Community's proposal for the Bridge to Work
14 program to be favorable.
15 NOW,THEREFORE,BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS OF THE CITY
16 OF LITTLE ROCK,ARKANSAS:
17 Section 1. The Board of Directors hereby authorizes the City Manager to enter into an agreement
18 with Canvas Community for the Bridge to Work Program, in an amount not to exceed One Hundred
19 Seventy-Eight Thousand, Five Hundred Thirty-Seven and 90/100 Dollars ($178,537.90) per year; and,
20 provided further,that by mutual agreement of the parties,the contract may be extended for up to three(3)
21 additional one(1)-year terms with a Cost of Living Adjustment no to exceed 3%each year.
22 Section 2. Funds for this agreement are available to be paid from the Street Fund Special Project,
23 Account No. 205409-S40B652 in the amount of One Hundred Fifty Thousand Dollars($150,000.00) and
24 the remaining balance of Twenty-Eight Thousand, Five Hundred Thirty-Seven and 90/100 Dollars from
25 Homelessness Outreach, Account No. 108129-SCI0C253.
26 Section 3. Severability. In the event any title, section, paragraph, item, sentence, clause, phrase, or
27 word of this resolution is declared or adjudged to be invalid or unconstitutional, such declaration or
28 adjudication shall not affect the remaining portions of the resolution which shall remain in full force and
29 effect as if the portion so declared or adjudged invalid or unconstitutional were not originally a part of the
30 resolution.
31 Section 4. Repealer. All laws,ordinances,resolutions,or parts of the same,that are inconsistent with
32 the provisions of this resolution,are hereby repealed to the extent of such inconsistency.
