Cover Letter
Subject: Cover letter for variance request at 91 Orle Cir, Little Rock, AR 72223, Lot 44 Block 113, Orle
Phase 2 Chenal subdivision.
The requested variance is for a retaining wall in the front 25’ set back.
On the left side of the house (when facing the street):
The wall will be 8’ further into the 25’ setback in the front on the lefthand side when facing the street.
The wall will step down from 7 feet to 3 feet. We are 7’ down from the next lot on the lefthand side. To
make it look better for front elevation we need this.
On the right side of the house (when facing the street):
The wall will be 8’ further into the 25’ setback in the front on the righthand side when facing the street.
The next lot to the right was originally 5’ lower than the subject lot. Due to their requirement, they cut
3’ down in their lot. So, it made 8’ difference in elevation. Since our driveway is on this day for a side
loading car garage it needs to be retained.
Note: None of the retaining walls are into utility easement. We are staying away from the utility
easement.
