Letter of Intent
In Support of Request for Variance
#4 Armistead
Little Rock, AR 72207
This letter of intent is in support of our request for a building variance at #4 Armistead in the Heights
area of Little Rock. The existing home is of a beautiful traditional design, but we need to create a little
more additional square footage for our large immediate and extended family. The home has an existing
two car open air Carport on the west side. The existing Carport extends into the side yard setback as it
sits 5'-0" away from the west property line.
Our proposed residence expansion will include adding a second floor addition above the existing
Carport. We are also planning to expand the Carport to the south to create a four car, stacked Garage.
This area expansion extends into the side yard setback 3'-0" so the side of our addition will still be 5'-0"
from our west property line. This is the area where we are requesting a side yard setback variance.
We are also planning to expand the existing home but these expansion areas will fit within the building
setbacks and meet code regarding Accessory Building structures.
