3 A RESOLUTION TO AUTHORIZE THE CITY MANAGER TO ENTER
4 INTO A CONTRACT WITH NSG LOGISTICS,LLC,IN AN AMOUNT NOT
5 TO EXCEED THREE HUNDRED THOUSAND DOLLARS ($300,000.00),
6 FOR THE PURCHASE OF ROCK SALT IN BULK FOR THE PUBLIC
7 WORKS STREET OPERATIONS DIVISION; AND FOR OTHER
8 PURPOSES.

10 WHEREAS, the Public Works Street Operations Division utilizes bulk De-Icing Rock Salt during
11 adverse winter weather to remove snow and ice from the roadways;and,
12 WHEREAS, NSG Logistics, LLC, has submitted prices in response to Arkansas Department of
13 Transportation(ArDOT) Bid Contract No. H-24-204H, being One Hundred Forty-Six and 12/100 Dollars
14 ($146.12)per ton for Untreated Rock.
15 NOW,THEREFORE,BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS OF THE CITY
16 OF LITTLE ROCK,ARKANSAS:
17 Section 1. The Board of Directors hereby authorizes the City Manager to enter into a contract with
18 NSG Logistics, LLC, for the purchase of Untreated Rock Salt in bulk for the Public Works Operations
19 Division at a cost of One Hundred Forty-Six and 12/100 Dollars ($146.12) per ton, in an amount not to
20 exceed Three Hundred Thousand Dollars ($300,000.00), for a period of one (1)-year, with an additional
21 one(1)-year extension, if so agreed to by both parties,to be utilized during adverse winter weather events
22 to remove snow and ice from the roadways.
23 Section 2. Funds for this purchase are allocated in Streets & Drainage Maintenance, Account No.
24 204003-61020.
25 Section 3. Severability. In the event any title, section, paragraph, item, sentence, clause, phrase, or
26 word of this resolution is declared or adjudged to be invalid or unconstitutional, such declaration or
27 adjudication shall not affect the remaining portions of the resolution which shall remain in full force and
28 effect as if the portion so declared or adjudged invalid or unconstitutional were not originally a part of the
29 resolution.
30 Section 4. Repealer. All laws,ordinances, resolutions,or parts of the same,that are inconsistent with
31 the provisions of this resolution,are hereby repealed to the extent of such inconsistency.
