I didn’t include the legal description since that would basically be the whole Park-the Hostel does not
have defined property lines.

Subject: Exterior repairs at 1201 South Commerce Street
Hannah-
Per our site visit today, the Parks Department is currently preforming contractual repairs to various
exterior wood elements at this building, including-
1. Repair and replacement of various damaged barge rafters, knee brace elements, wooden
horizontal lap siding and then painting all of wood elements including existing wood features
not being replaced.

2. Residing existing nonfunctional exterior door openings on the East and West sides of the c 1972
North addition; existing elements had very damaged veneers that were not viable to replace
with new material of the same type and could not be easily removed without causing damage
to interior features. New material is solid wood ship “bead board” installed vertically. This
material and adjacent nonfunctional door frames to be painted same color as most wood
elements on this structure (currently dark green) to further minimalize their appearance.
