Dear AGC Arkansas,
The Little Rock Historic District Commission has reviewed HDC2023-016 at the June
1st, 2023 public hearing. The Little Rock Historic District Commission has approved,
with conditions, your Certificate of Appropriateness for signage at 523 E. Capitol. The
final vote was 6 ayes, 0 noes and 1 absent.
The application was approved with the following conditions:
1. Obtain required sign permits for all signs on property.
2. Reduce free-standing sign to no more than 24 square feet with a height not to
exceed 6 feet.
3. The sign will utilize wood posts, rather than masonry. A brick base/platform can
be incorporated if desired, requiring final approval from Staff.
A final design of the free-standing sign must be submitted to Staff for final review before
a Certificate of Appropriateness can be issued.
