Dear Mr. Spradlin,
Your application HDC2023-016 for free-standing sign and vinyl adhesive graphics door
sign, at 523 E Capitol Ave. will be heard before the Historic District Commission on
June 1st, 2023. The hearing will be held in the Auditorium Room at the Willie Hinton
Neighborhood Resource Center at 3802 W. 12th Street. The meeting will begin at 4:00
p.m.
Your application will be Item One on the agenda. You or your agent must be present in
order for the item to be heard.
Please follow directions exactly when giving ten days’ notice to all property owners as
stated in the application on page 3 instructions #4 and #5. Use “HDC2023-016” to
complete your mailing labels as shown in the instructions.
The application form states that “A description of materials for all exterior surfaces listed
above shall be provided to Staff at time of filing.” The following information will need to
be submitted to Staff by May 15th to complete your filing.
Signage: Provide details on the material of the posts of the ground mounted sign.
Failure to provide all information requested above in a complete manner before 5:00 pm
May 15th will result in a Staff recommendation of Deferral on this application.
