Home My WebLink About16123 1 RESOLUTION NO. 16,123 2 3 A RESOLUTION TO AMEND LITTLE ROCK, ARK., RESOLUTION NO. 4 15,810 (OCTOBER 18, 2022), TO AUTHORIZE THE CITY MANAGER TO EXECUTE AN AMENDMENT TO THE CONTRACT WITH 6 REDSTONE CONSTRUCTION GROUP, IN THE AMOUNT OF FIFTY THOUSAND DOLLARS ($50,000.00), FOR THE CONSTRUCTION OF 8 ROADWAY IMPROVEMENTS AT INTERSTATE PARK; AND FOR OTHER PURPOSES. 10 11 WHEREAS, Bid Event No. 1516 was issued services of qualified Contractors for the construction of 12 a roadway, drainage and site work improvements at Interstate Park; and, 3 WHEREAS, pursuant to Bid Event No. 1516, Redstone Construction Group was the sole responsive 4 and reasonable bit meeting the specifications for this project; and, 5 WHEREAS, on October 18, 2022, the City Board of Directors adopted Resolution No. 15,810, to 16 authorize the City Manager to enter into a contract with Redstone Construction Group, base bid of Five 17 Hundred Forty-Six Thousand, Five Hundred Fifty-Three and 64/100 Dollars ($546,553.64), which 18 includes a contingency amount of Forty Thousand Dollars($40,000.00); and, 19 WHEREAS,an amendment to the contract, in the amount of Fifty Thousand Dollars($50,000.00), is 20 necessary due to additional materials and labor needed to fulfill the goals of the project, bringing the total 21 contract amount to Six Hundred Thirty-Six Thousand, Five Hundred Thirty-Three and 64/100 Dollars 22 ($636,533.64). 23 NOW,THEREFORE,BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS OF THE CITY 24 OF LITTLE ROCK,ARKANSAS: 25 Section 1. The Board of Directors hereby authorizes the City Manager to execute an amendment to 26 the current contract with Redstone Construction Group, in the amount of.Fifty Thousand Dollars 27 ($50,000.00),for the construction of a roadway, drainage and site work improvements at Interstate Park. 21 Section 2. Funding for this project is available from Parks Special Project, Account No. 108459- 29 S45C417. 3 Section 3. Severability. In the event any title, section, paragraph, item, sentence, clause, phrase, or 3 word of this resolution is declared or adjudged to be invalid or unconstitutional, such declaration or 32 adjudication shall not affect the remaining portions of the resolution which shall remain in full force and 33 effect as if the portion so declared or adjudged invalid or unconstitutional were not originally a part of the 34 resolution.
