HomeMy WebLinkAbout16124 1 RESOLUTION NO. 16,124 2 3 A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE CITY MANAGER TO ENTER 4 INTO A CONTRACT WITH VIVIAN ANN POOLE,FOR THE PURCHASE 5 OF A RESIDENTAL LOT LOCATED AT 4419 JOHN BARROW ROAD,TO 6 BE USED AS PARK PROPERTY FOR THE FUTURE DEVELOMENT AT 7 WEST CENTRAL PARK; AND FOR OTHER PURPOSES. 8 9 WHEREAS, West Central Park, consisting of the Community Center and Sports Complex, has 10 received funding for improvements to existing ballfields and with these improvements, along with other 11 proposed plans, additional acreage is needed; and, 12 WHEREAS,the parcel located at 4419 John Barrow Road has been identified to help fulfill the goals 13 and needs of future park development; and, 14 WHEREAS, a title search was performed by Lenders Title Company, and a Phase 1, Environmental 15 Report has been completed, and there are no Outstanding Liens on the property. 16 NOW,THEREFORE,BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS OF THE CITY 17 OF LITTLE ROCK: 18 Section 1. The City of Little Rock Board of Directors authorizes the City Manager to enter into a 19 contract with Vivian Ann Poole, in an amount not to exceed One Hundred Ten Thousand Dollars 20 ($110,000.00), to purchase the residential property located at 4419 John Barrow Road, to be used as park 21 property for future development at West Central Park. The legal description of the property is as follows: 22 PT NE NW BG E R/W BARROW RD 631 03'N INTRS N R/W HW 67-70 N89*E 178' 23 N75'S89*W 178'TO RD S AL RD 75'TO BEG 23 IN 13W(Parcel No.44L1480004000) 24 Section 2. Funding for this acquisition will come from the West Central Expansion, Account No. 25 325459-F451005. 26 Section 3. Severability. In the event any title, section, paragraph, item, sentence, clause, phrase or 27 word of this resolution is declared or adjudged to be invalid or unconstitutional, such declaration or 28 adjudication shall not affect the remaining portions of the resolution which shall remain in full force and 29 effect as if the portion so declared or adjudged invalid or unconstitutional were not originally a part of the 30 resolution. 31 Section 4.
