3 A RESOLUTION TO AUTHORIZE THE CITY MANAGER TO EXECUTE
4 A CONTRACT WITH CASCO INDUSTRIES,INC., IN AN AMOUNT NOT
5 TO EXCEED FIFTY-SIX THOUSAND, TWO HUNDRED FIFTY
6 DOLLARS ($56,250.00), PLUS APPLICABLE TAXES AND FEES, FOR
7 THE PURCHASE OF A DRAEGER X-AM 280 GAS MONITOR FOR THE
8 LITTLE ROCK FIRE DEPARTMENT HAZMAT TEAM; AND FOR
9 OTHER PURPOSES.

11 WHEREAS,the Little Rock Fire Department Hazmat Team has determined that it is need of a Draeger
12 X-AM 2800 Gas Monitor; and,
13 WHEREAS,this device is critical in detecting combustible gas vapors and other chemicals; and,
14 WHEREAS, Bid No. 2182-0 was issued and Casco Industries, Inc., was the lowest, responsive,
15 responsible bid meeting specifications of two(2)bids received; and,
16 WHEREAS, the total amount for the Draeger X-AM 2800 Gas Monitor shall not exceed Fifty-Six
17 Thousand,Two Hundred Fifty Dollars($56,250.00), plus applicable taxes and fees.
18 NOW,THEREFORE,BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS OF THE CITY
19 OF LITTLE ROCK,ARKANSAS:
20 Section 1. The City Manager is authorized to enter into a contract with Casco Industries, Inc., in an
21 amount not to exceed Fifty-Six Thousand, Two Hundred Fifty Dollars($56,250.00), plus applicable taxes
22 and fees, for the purchase of a Draeger X-AM 2800 Gas Monitor for the Little Rock Fire Department
23 Hazmat Team.
24 Section 2. Funds for this expenditure are available in Special Project ACT 833,Account No.210519-
25 S00B50.
26 Section 3. Severability. In the event any title, section, paragraph, item, sentence, clause, phrase, or
27 word of this resolution is declared or adjudged to be invalid or unconstitutional, such declaration or
28 adjudication shall not affect the remaining portions of the resolution which shall remain in full force and
29 effect as if the portion so declared or adjudged invalid or unconstitutional were not originally a part of the
30 resolution.
31 Section 4. Repealer. All laws,ordinances, resolutions, or parts of the same,that are inconsistent with
32 the provisions of this resolution, are hereby repealed to the extent of such inconsistency.
