3 A RESOLUTION TO EXPRESS THE WILLINGNESS OF THE CITY OF
4 LITTLE ROCK, ARKANSAS, TO UTILIZE FEDERAL-AID FUNDS FOR
5 THE ARKANSAS RIVER TRAIL AT CANTRELL ROAD; AND FOR
6 OTHER PURPOSES

8 WHEREAS, Metroplan has approved Federal-aid Highway Infrastructure Program — Attributable
9 Funds for the Arkansas River Trail at Cantrell Road in a segment connecting the existing trail east of Gill
10 Street to the Union Pacific Railroad Pedestrian Bridge at the following Federal and City participating ratios,
11 up to the maximum Federal-aid available:

13 NOW,THEREFORE,BE TT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS OF THE CITY
14 OF LITTLE ROCK,ARKANSAS:
15 Section 1. The City will participate in accordance with its designated responsibilities in this project.
16 Section 2. The Mayor or his designated representative is hereby authorized and directed to execute
17 all appropriate agreements and contracts necessary to expedite the construction of this City project.
18 Section 3. The City pledges its full support and hereby authorizes the Arkansas Department of
19 Transportation to initiate action to implement this project.
20 Section 4. Severability. In the event any title, section, paragraph, item, sentence, clause, phrase, or
21 word of this resolution is declared or adjudged to be invalid or unconstitutional, such declaration or
22 adjudication shall not affect the remaining portions of the resolution which shall remain in full force and
23 effect as if the portion so declared or adjudged invalid or unconstitutional were not originally a part of the
24 resolution.
25 Section 5. Repealer. All laws, ordinances, resolutions,or parts of the same,that are inconsistent with
26 the provisions of this resolution, are hereby repealed to the extent of such inconsistency.
