HomeMy WebLinkAbout16095 1 RESOLUTION NO. 16,095 2 3 A RESOLUTION TO AUTHORIZE THE CITY MANAGER TO ENTER 4 INTO A CONTRACT WITH VIKING-CINES MIDWEST, INC., IN AN 5 AMOUNT NOT TO EXCEED THREE HUNDRED TWENTY-FIVE 6 THOUSAND, THREE HUNDRED THIRTY-EIGHT DOLLARS 7 ($325,338.00), PLUS APPLICABLE TAXES AND FEES, FOR THE 8 PURCHASE OF TWO (2) 2024 FREIGHTLINER MODEL 108SD PLUS 9 CONVENTIONAL CHASSIS TRUCKS WITH VIKING DUMP BEDS FOR 10 THE PARKS & RECREATION DEPARTMENT; AND FOR OTHER 11 PURPOSES. 12 13 WHEREAS,the Parks& Recreation Department has demonstrated a need to purchase two(2)2024 14 Freightliner Model 108SD Plus Conventional Chassis Trucks with Viking Dump Beds to replace aged,high 15 maintenance units currently in the City's fleet;and, 16 WHEREAS,vendor selection for two(2)2024 Freightliner Model 108SD Plus Conventional Chassis 17 Trucks with Viking Dump Beds, meeting the specifications needed, was made using the Sourcewell 18 Contract Number No. 062222-VCM;and, 19 WHEREAS,the total purchase price for two(2)2024 Freightliner Model 108SD Plus Conventional 20 Chassis Trucks with Viking Dump Beds shall not to exceed Three Hundred Twenty-Five Thousand,Three 21 Hundred Thirty-Eight Dollars($325,338.00), plus applicable taxes and fees. 22 NOW,THEREFORE,BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS OF THE CITY 23 OF LITTLE ROCK,ARKANSAS: 24 Section 1. The City Manager is authorized to enter into an agreement with Viking-Cives Midwest, 25 Inc., for the purchase of two (2) 2024 Freightliner Model 108SD Plus Conventional Chassis Trucks with 26 Viking Dump Beds, in an amount not to exceed Three Hundred Twenty-Five Thousand, Three Hundred 27 Thirty-Eight Dollars ($325,338.00), plus applicable taxes and fees, to be used by the Parks & Recreation 28 Department. 29 Section 2. Funds for this purchase are allocated in the Parks&Recreation Bond Account No.332459- 30 B45D015-72300. 31 Section 3. Severability. In the event any title, section, paragraph, item, sentence, clause, phrase, or 32 word of this resolution is declared or adjudged to be invalid or unconstitutional, such declaration or 33 adjudication shall not affect the remaining portions of the resolution which shall remain in full force and !Page 1 of 21 1 effect as if the portion so declared or adjudged invalid or unconstitutional were not originally a part of the 2 resolution. 3 Section 4. Repealer.
