3 A RESOLUTION TO SELL PROPERTIES OWNED BY THE CITY OF
4 LITTLE ROCK, ARKANSAS, TO THE UNIVERSITY OF ARKANSAS
5 FOR MEDICAL SCIENCES (UAMS), FOR THE PRESERVATION AND
6 MAINTENANCE OF GREEN SPACE; AND FOR OTHER PURPOSES.

8 WHEREAS, the University of Arkansas for Medical Sciences(UAMS)has requested that the City of
9 Little Rock, Arkansas, sell it multiple properties for the purpose of maintaining a persistent campus green
10 space; and,
11 WHEREAS,the City is willing to sell the properties to UAMS for the sum of One Dollar($1.00)and
12 other good and valuable consideration; and,
13 WHEREAS, Arkansas State Law requires that the City sell the property by resolution adopted by the
14 Board of Directors; and,
15 WHEREAS, portions of the land sale will be retained as public utility easements; and,
16 WHEREAS,the Board of Directors have determined that selling the properties will not have an adverse
17 impact on the public safety, health, or welfare and the properties are no longer needed for corporate
18 purposes.
19 NOW,THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS OF THE CITY
20 OF LITTLE ROCK,ARKANSAS:
21 Section 1. The Board of Directors hereby adopt this resolution to sell the following lots for the sum of
22 One Dollar ($1.00) and other good and valuable consideration less and accept the reserved public utility
23 easements:
24 1) Lots 1 and 2, Block 5, Reyburn and Wrights Addition to the City of Little Rock,
25 Pulaski County, Arkansas.
26 Section 2. The property shall be used for a public purpose, specifically for the public purpose
27 maintaining a persistent green space on the south end of the UAMS Campus. If the property is not utilized
28 for the purpose of UAMS green space or alternate use contributing to public welfare, the properties shall
29 revert back to the City of Little Rock. The Deed shall reflect this intent through a Reverter Clause contained
30 within the Deed.
31 Section 3. A copy of this of this resolution shall be filed in the Real Estate Records of the Recorder of
32 the Circuit Clerk in Ex-Officio Recorder of Pulaski County, Arkansas.
33 Section 4. Severability. In the event any title, subtitle, section, subsection, subdivision, paragraph,
34 subparagraph,item,sentence,clause,phrase,or work of this resolution is declared or adjudged to be invalid

1 or unconstitutional,such declaration or adjudication shall not affect the remaining portions of the resolution
2 which shall remain in full force and effect as if the portion so declared or adjudged invalid or
3 unconstitutional was not originally a part of this resolution.
4 Section 5. Repealer. All ordinances, resolutions, or parts of the same that are inconsistent with the
5 provisions of this resolution are hereby repealed to the extent of such inconsistency.
