HomeMy WebLinkAbout16084 1 RESOLUTION NO. 16,084 2 3 A RESOLUTION TO AUTHORIZE THE CITY MANAGER TO ENTER 4 INTO A CONTRACT WITH GENESIS DATACOM,LLC,IN AN AMOUNT 5 NOT TO EXCEED TWO HUNDRED TWENTY-ONE THOUSAND, ONE 6 HUNDRED TEN DOLLARS ($221,110.00), PLUS APPLICABLE TAXES 7 AND FEES, FOR THE PURCHASE OF THIRTY (30) PTZ LONG-RANGE 8 IR CAPABLE CRIME CAMERAS FOR THE LITTLE ROCK POLICE 9 DEPARTMENT; AND FOR OTHER PURPOSES. 10 11 WHEREAS, with the expansion of the Little Rock Police Department Real Time Crime Center, staff 12 has identified the need to expand the use of City-owned crime cameras; and, 13 WHEREAS,the lack of cameras, combined with the age of the cameras, hinders the Real Time Crime 14 Center's ability to effectively monitor key locations,and a portion of the newly-purchased cameras will be 15 used to replace existing crime cameras not functioning at an acceptable level; and, 16 WHEREAS, vendor selection for the purchase of thirty (30) PTZ Long-Range IR Capable Crime 17 Cameras, meeting the specifications needed, was made utilizing State Contract No. SP-21-0047, Outline 18 Agreement No. 4600048223; and, 19 WHEREAS,the total purchase price for thirty(30)PTZ Long-Range IR Capable Crime Cameras shall 20 not to exceed Two Hundred Twenty-One Thousand, One Hundred Ten Dollars ($221,110.00), plus 21 applicable taxes and fees. 22 NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS OF THE CITY 23 OF LITTLE ROCK,ARKANSAS: 24 Section 1. The City Manager is authorized to enter into an agreement with Genesis Datacom, LLC, in 25 an amount not to exceed Two Hundred Twenty-One Thousand, One Hundred Ten Dollars ($221,110.00), 26 plus applicable taxes and fees, for the purchase of thirty(30) PTZ Long-Range IR Capable Crime Cameras 27 for the Little Rock Police Department. 28 Section 2. Funds for this purchase are allocated in the American Rescue Plan Act Funds set aside for 29 the Real Time Crime Center, Account No. 270529-60200-G0222AR52A. 30 Section 3. Severability. In the event any title, section, paragraph, item, sentence, clause, phrase, or 31 word of this resolution is declared or adjudged to be invalid or unconstitutional, such declaration or 32 adjudication shall not affect the remaining portions of the resolution which shall remain in full force and 33 effect as if the portion so declared or adjudged invalid or unconstitutional were not originally a part of the 34 resolution. lPage I of 21 1 Section 4.
