3 A RESOLUTION TO AUTHORIZE THE CITY MANAGER TO ENTER
4 INTO A CONTRACT WITH EPA DEMO & CONSTRUCTION, IN AN
5 AMOUNT NOT TO EXCEED EIGHTY-SEVEN THOUSAND, FOUR
6 HUNDRED DOLLARS ($87,400.00), FOR THE RAZING AND REMOVAL
7 OF LITTLE FIRE DEPARTMENT STATION 9, LOCATED AT 1324
8 NORTH SHACKLEFORD ROAD; AND FOR OTHER PURPOSES.

10 WHEREAS, Bid No. 2208 was issued for the razing and removal of Little Rock Fire Department
11 Station No. 9, located at 1324 North Shackleford Road, which was damaged during the March 31, 2023,
12 EF-3 Tornado; and,
13 WHEREAS, it was determined that EPA Demo& Construction,was the most responsive, responsible
14 bid meeting specifications out of five(5) bids received for the project.
15 NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS OF THE
16 CITY OF LITTLE ROCK,ARKANSAS:
17 Section 1. The City Manager is authorized to execute an agreement with EPA Demo&Construction,
18 in an amount not to exceed Eighty-Seven Thousand, Four Hundred Dollars($87,400.00),for the razing and
19 removal of Little Rock Fire Department Station No. 9, located at 1324 North Shackleford Road.
20 Section 2. Funds for the Demolition Services are available in FEMA Disaster Fire Special Project,
21 Account No. 270519-G51 DF231.
22 Section 3. Severability. In the event any title, section, paragraph, item, sentence, clause, phrase, or
23 word of this resolution is declared or adjudged to be invalid or unconstitutional, such declaration or
24 adjudication shall not affect the remaining portions of the resolution which shall remain in full force and
25 effect as if the portion so declared or adjudged invalid or unconstitutional was not originally a part of the
26 resolution.
27 Section 4. Repealer. All laws,ordinances, resolutions,or parts of the same,that are inconsistent with
28 the provisions of this resolution,are hereby repealed to the extent of such inconsistency.
