3 A RESOLUTION TO AUTHORIZE THE CITY MANAGER TO EXECUTE
4 A CONTRACT WITH NORTH AMERICAN FIRE EQUIPMENT
5 COMPANY, INC., IN AN AMOUNT NOT TO EXCEED ONE HUNDRED
6 FIFTY-FOUR THOUSAND, NINE HUNDRED DOLLARS ($154,900.00),
7 PLUS APPLICABLE TAXES AND FEES, FOR THE PURCHASE OF
8 FIREFIGHTING PROTECTIVE COATS AND PANTS FOR THE LITTLE
9 ROCK FIRE DEPARTMENT; AND FOR OTHER PURPOSES.

11 WHEREAS,the Little Rock Fire Department is in need for Protective Coats and Pants; and,
12 WHEREAS, the specifications for this purchase were written and approved by the members serving
13 on the Little Rock Fire Department Safety Committee; and,
14 WHEREAS, vendor selection was made through the utilization of the Sourcewell Contract No.
15 032620-LIO for the purchase of fifty (50) Protective Coats, at a cost of One Thousand, Eight Hundred
16 Thirty-Four Dollars($1,834.00)each and fifty(50) Pants,at a cost of One Thousand,Two Hundred Sixty-
17 Four Dollars($1,264.00)each; and,
18 WHEREAS, the total cost for the purchase is shall not exceed One Hundred Fifty-Four Thousand,
19 Nine Hundred Dollars($154,900.00), plus applicable taxes and fees.
20 NOW,THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS OF THE CITY
21 OF LITTLE ROCK,ARKANSAS:
22 Section 1. The City Manager is authorized to enter into a contract with North American Fire
23 Equipment Company, Inc., for the purchase of Firefighting Protective Coats and Pants for the Little Rock
24 Fire Department in the amount not to exceed One Hundred Fifty-Four Thousand, Nine Hundred Dollars
25 ($154,900.00), plus applicable taxes and fees.
26 Section 2. Funding for this purchase is available through the Little Rock Fire Department General
27 Fund,Account No. 105120-60030, and ACT 833 Special Project, Account No. 210519-S00B250.
28 Section 3. Severability. In the event any title, section, paragraph, item, sentence, clause, phrase, or
29 word of this resolution is declared or adjudged to be invalid or unconstitutional, such declaration or
30 adjudication shall not affect the remaining portions of the resolution which shall remain in full force and
31 effect as if the portion so declared or adjudged invalid or unconstitutional were not originally a part of the
32 resolution.
33 Section 4. Repealer. All laws,ordinances, resolutions,or parts of the same,that are inconsistent with
34 the provisions of this resolution, are hereby repealed to the extent of such inconsistency.
