3 A RESOLUTION TO AUTHORIZE THE CITY MANAGER TO ENTER
4 INTO AN ANNUAL CONTRACT WITH MID-SOUTH SALES, IN AN
5 ANNUAL AMOUNT NOT TO EXCEED FIVE MILLION, TWO HUNDRED
6 THOUSAND DOLLARS ($5,200,000.00), FOR FUEL AND GASOLINE FOR
7 THE FLEET SERVICES DEPARTMENT; AND FOR OTHER PURPOSES.

9 WHEREAS,the Fleet Services Department has a need to provide Fuel and Gasoline for use in various
10 vehicles currently in the City's fleet; and,
11 WHEREAS,the City of Little Rock, Arkansas held a Public Bid No. 2115 to obtain competitive bids
12 from qualified vendors for Fuel and Gasoline;and,
13 WHEREAS, after a competitive bidding process with three (3) bids received, it was determined that
14 Mid-South Sales was the lowest bidder for an annual contract awarded for a one(1)-year contract term and
15 two (2), one (1)-year renewals for an annual amount not to exceed Five Million, Two Hundred Thousand
16 Dollars($5,200,000.00).
17 NOW,THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS OF THE CITY
18 OF LITTLE ROCK,ARKANSAS:
19 Section I. The City Manager is authorized to enter into an annual one (1)-year contract with Mid-
20 South Sales, for not more than two (2), one (1)-year renewal extensions for an annual budget amount not
21 to exceed Five Million, Two Hundred Thousand Dollars($5,200,000.00).
22 Section 2. Funds for this purchase will be allocated in the Fleet Services Fuel Account No. 600011-
23 60401.
24 Section 3. Severability. In the event any title, section, paragraph, item, sentence, clause, phrase, or
25 word of this resolution is declared or adjudged to be invalid or unconstitutional, such declaration or
26 adjudication shall not affect the remaining portions of the resolution which shall remain in full force and
27 effect as if the portion so declared or adjudged invalid or unconstitutional were not originally a part of the
28 resolution.
29 Section 4. Repealer. All laws,ordinances, resolutions, or parts of the same,that are inconsistent with
30 the provisions of this resolution,are hereby repealed to the extent of such inconsistency.
