3 A RESOLUTION TO AUTHORIZE THE CITY MANAGER TO ENTER
4 INTO A CONTRACT WITH SMART AUTOMOTIVE GROUP, IN AN
5 AMOUNT NOT TO EXCEED TWO HUNDRED SIXTY-SEVEN
6 THOUSAND, TWO HUNDRED SIXTY-FOUR DOLLARS ($267,264.00),
7 PLUS APPLICABLE TAXES AND FEES, FOR THE PURCHASE OF SIX
8 (6) FORD F-150 TRUCKS FOR THE PUBLIC WORKS DEPARTMENT
9 STREET OPERATIONS DIVISION; AND FOR OTHER PURPOSES.

1 I WHEREAS, the Public Works Department Street Operations Division has demonstrated a need to
12 purchase six (6) Ford F-150 Trucks to replace aged, high maintenance units currently in the City's fleet;
13 and,
14 WHEREAS, vendor selection for six(6) Ford F-150 Trucks, meeting the specifications needed, was
15 made through the Arkansas Department of Transportation Contract No. H-229R; and,
16 WHEREAS,the total purchase price for six(6)F-150 Trucks shall not to exceed Two Hundred Sixty-
17 Seven Thousand,Two Hundred Sixty-Four Dollars($267,264.00), plus applicable taxes and fees.
18 NOW,THEREFORE,BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS OF THE CITY
19 OF LITTLE ROCK,ARKANSAS:
20 Section 1. The City Manager is authorized to enter into an agreement with Smart Automotive Group
21 for the purchase of six (6) Ford F-I50 Trucks in an amount not to exceed Two Hundred Sixty-Seven
22 Thousand, Two Hundred Sixty-Four Dollars ($267,264.00), plus applicable taxes and fees, to be used by
23 the Public Works Department Street Operations Division.
24 Section 2. Funds for this purchase are allocated in the 2022 Special Projects Account No. 205409-
25 72300-S40B646, and the 2023 Special Projects Account No. 205409-72300-S40B660.
26 Section 3. Severability. In the event any title, section, paragraph, item, sentence, clause, phrase, or
27 word of this resolution is declared or adjudged to be invalid or unconstitutional, such declaration or
28 adjudication shall not affect the remaining portions of the resolution which shall remain in full force and
29 effect as if the portion so declared or adjudged invalid or unconstitutional were not originally a part of the
30 resolution.
31 Section 4. Repealer. All laws,ordinances, resolutions,or parts of the same, that are inconsistent with
32 the provisions of this resolution, are hereby repealed to the extent of such inconsistency.
