Hello:
My name is Mark Hicks. I live at 2600 N. Rodney Parham. I am needing to build
a guest house (Accessory Dwelling Unit ADU) in my back yard to accommodate a large
family that frequently visits. Current zoning allows for a 1150 square foot building, but I
am just requesting a small amount of additional space that is needed, some 250 square
feet more.
I have a large lot, almost a full acre, (over 33,000 square feet), so there is plenty of
room. I also have a large privacy fence that surrounds my entire back yard so no neighbor
will be able to see the new structure. I also have the setback lines well within existing
requirements. There are several neighbors surrounding me that already have similar
guest houses in their backyards, so this should not be much different than several other
houses in the neighborhood. Thank you for your help.
