HomeMy WebLinkAbout16074 1 RESOLUTION NO. 16,074 2 3 A RESOLUTION TO AUTHORIZE THE CITY MANAGER TO ENTER 4 INTO A MAINTENANCE RENEWAL CONTRACT WITH OPTIV 5 SECURITY, INC., IN AN AMOUNT NOT TO EXCEED TWO HUNDRED 6 THIRTY-NINE THOUSAND, EIGHTY-FIVE AND 89/100 DOLLARS 7 ($239,085.89), PLUS APPLICABLE TAXES AND FEES, TO PROVIDE 8 SERVICE AND UPDATES TO THE CHECK POINT FIREWALLS FOR 9 THE INFORMATION TECHNOLOGY DEPARTMENT; AND FOR 10 OTHER PURPOSES. 11 12 WHEREAS, the renewal of this contract shall provide services and updates to the City's existing 13 firewalls to enforce policy and assist with security implementation, upgrading and configuration to ensure 14 the security of the network for end users;and, 15 WHEREAS,the Information Technology Department requests a Maintenance Renewal Contract with 16 Optiv Security,Inc.,for an additional eighteen(18)months through and including December 31,2024;and, 17 WHEREAS, vendor selection for Optiv Security, Inc., utilizing Arkansas State Contract No. SP-16- 18 0027;and, 19 WHEREAS, the total cost of the Maintenance Renewal Contract is Two Hundred Thirty-Nine 20 Thousand, Eighty Five and 89/100 Dollars($239,085.89), plus applicable taxes and fees;and, 21 WHEREAS,to authorize the City Manager to approve additional expenditures of not more than Fifty 22 Thousand Dollars($50,000.00)on an as-needed bases during this conversion and installation process. 23 NOW,THEREFORE,BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS OF THE CITY 24 OF LITTLE ROCK,ARKANSAS: 25 Section 1. The City Manager is authorized to enter into a maintenance renewal contract with Optiv 26 Security,Inc.,for an additional eighteen(18)months through and including December 31,2024,for a total 27 cost of Two Hundred Thirty-Nine Thousand, Eighty-Five and 89/100 Dollars ($239,085.89), plus 28 applicable taxes and fees, to provide services and upgrades to the City's existing Checkpoint Firewalls, 29 which includes the additional sum of Fifty Thousand Dollars ($50,000.00) for additional expenditures, if 30 any. 31 Section 2. Funding is available through the Information Technology Reoccurring Maintenance 32 Account No. 103030-061350. 33 Section 3. Severability. In the event any title, section, paragraph, item, sentence, clause, phrase, or 34 word of this resolution is declared or adjudged to be invalid or unconstitutional, such declaration or [Page 1 of 21 1 adjudication shall not affect the remaining portions of the resolution which shall remain in full force and 2 effect as if the portion so declared or adjudged invalid or unconstitutional were not originally a part of the 3 resolution. 4 Section 4. Repealer.
