3 A RESOLUTION TO AUTHORIZE THE CITY MANAGER TO ENTER
4 INTO A CONTRACT WITH WD&D ARCHITECTS,IN AN AMOUNT NOT
5 TO EXCEED THREE HUNDRED FIFTY THOUSAND, FIVE HUNDRED
6 DOLLARS ($350,500.00), TO PROVIDE ARCHITECTURAL AND ENGI-
7 NEERING DESIGN SERVICES FOR THE LITTLE ROCK ZOO BOND
8 PROJECT; AND FOR OTHER PURPOSES.

10 WHEREAS,the Little Rock Zoo("Zoo") is in need of Architectural and Engineering Design Services
11 to re-design the Zoo's Front-Entry Plaza, surrounding animal exhibits and corresponding areas per the
12 Zoo's Master Plan("Bond Project");and,
13 WHEREAS,the City issued a Request for Bids,No. 1967, for Architectural and Engineering Design
14 Services for the Zoo;and,
15 WHEREAS,pursuant to this Bid process, a Selection Committee determined that WD&D Architects
16 was the most qualified firm to provide Architectural and Engineering Design Services to re-design the
17 Zoo's front-entry plaza,surrounding animal exhibits and corresponding areas per the Zoo's Master Plan,in
18 an amount not to exceed Three Hundred Fifty Thousand, Five Hundred Dollars;and,
19 WHEREAS,reimbursable expenses from WD&D Architects include:topographic survey;soils testing
20 and repor; printing & shipping; and review fees, for a total amount of Twenty Thousand Dollars
21 ($20,000.00).
22 NOW,THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS OF THE CITY
23 OF LITTLE ROCK,ARKANSAS:
24 Section 1. The City Manager is authorized to enter into an agreement with WD&D Architects, in an
25 amount not to exceed Three Hundred Fifty Thousand, Five Hundred Dollars to provide Architectural and
26 Engineering Design Services to the City of Little Rock Zoo for the Bond Project to re-design the Zoo's
27 front-entry plaza, surrounding animal exhibits and corresponding areas per the Zoo's Master Plan.
28 Section 2. Funding is from the Limited Tax General Obligation Capital Improvement Bonds,and are
29 available from the Zoo Account No. 332659-72502-B65D016.
30 Section 3. Severability. In the event any title, section, paragraph, item, sentence, clause, phrase, or
31 word of this resolution is declared or adjudged to be invalid or unconstitutional, such declaration or
32 adjudication shall not affect the remaining portions of the resolution which shall remain in full force and
33 effect as if the portion so declared or adjudged invalid or unconstitutional were not originally a part of the
34 resolution.

1 Section 4. Repealer. All laws, ordinances, resolutions, or parts of the same,that are inconsistent with
2 the provisions of this resolution, are hereby repealed to the extent of such inconsistency.
