HomeMy WebLinkAbout16069 1 RESOLUTION NO. 16,069 2 3 A RESOLUTION TO AUTHORIZE THE CITY MANAGER TO 4 EXECUTE A CONTRACT WITH ARKANSAS PUBLIC SAFETY 5 SOLUTIONS/MOTOROLA AVIGILON, IN AN AMOUNT NOT TO 6 EXCEED ONE HUNDRED FORTY-TWO THOUSAND, FOUR 7 HUNDRED FOURTEEN DOLLARS ($142,414.00), PLUS APPLICABLE 8 TAXES AND FEES, FOR THE PURCHASE OF A VIDEO SECURITY 9 SYSTEM FOR THE ARKANSAS STATE FAIRGROUNDS COMPLEX; 10 AND FOR OTHER PURPOSES. 11 12 WHEREAS, the Emergency Management Division is committed to improving public safety 13 throughout the City and is in need of a Video Security System for the Arkansas State Fairgrounds Complex; 14 and, 15 WHEREAS, since September 11, 2001, the City has become eligible for several Emergency Service 16 Equipment Grants;and, 17 WHEREAS, vendor selection of Arkansas Public Safety Solutions/Motorola Avigilon was made 18 through utilization of the TIPS Contract No. 230105 for the purchase of a Video Security System in an 19 amount not to exceed One Hundred Forty-Two Thousand, Four Hundred Fourteen Dollars($142,414.00); 20 and, 21 WHEREAS, 100% of the funding shall be provided through the State Homeland Security Grant 22 Program with no fiscal impact on the City. 23 NOW,THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS OF THE CITY 24 OF LITTLE ROCK,ARKANSAS: 25 Section 1. The City Manager is authorized to enter into a contract with Arkansas Public Safety 26 Solutions/Motorola Avigilon, in an amount not to exceed One Hundred Forty-Two Thousand, Four 27 Hundred Fourteen Dollars ($142,414.00), plus applicable taxes and fees, for the purchase of a Video 28 Security System for the Arkansas Stated Fairgrounds Complex. 29 Section 2. Funding for this purchase is available through the State Homeland Security Grant Program 30 with no fiscal impact on the City of Little Rock,from Account No. G 12P233-270129. 31 Section 3. Severability. In the event any title, section, paragraph, item, sentence, clause, phrase, or 32 word of this resolution is declared or adjudged to be invalid or unconstitutional, such declaration or 33 adjudication shall not affect the remaining portions of the resolution which shall remain in full force and 34 effect as if the portion so declared or adjudged invalid or unconstitutional were not originally a part of the 35 resolution. !Page 10121 1 Section 4. Repealer.
