Project Description with Conditions listed:
1) Rebuild damage to roof, soffit, and fascia due to tree damage:
a) Roofing
i) Remove asphalt roofing as needed to repair roof deck.
ii) Install plywood or chipboard decking in same thickness as original roof decking.
iii) Reroof with roofing to match.
iv) No changes will be made to the roof pitches, gables, or valleys.
b) Trim Boards, Siding, Soffit and Fascia Repair
i) Remove damaged trim boards and siding pieces and replace with boards of same dimension, shape
and profile.
ii) Reuse and repair original brackets under eaves.
iii) Caulk, prime, and paint.
2) Siding repairlreplacement due to water damage or age:
a) Remove damaged trim hoards and siding pieces and replace with boards of same dimension, shape, and
profile.
b) Caulk, prime, and paint after stucco repair has been completed.
3) Painting
a) Scrape, prime, and paint all wood surfaces on building.
b) DO NOT paint any brick or concrete surface.
4) Storm Window
a) Replace broken glass in storm window with glass of same thickness and color.
5) Replace damaged chimney
a) Replace missing courses of brick on chimney as shown in historic photos.
b) Replace to match original chimney In profile and coursework.
c) Replace with original brick if possible.
d) Interior brick in chimney need not match historic brick.
e) If original brick is not possible, replace with brick of same color and exterior texture.
f) Use Type N mortar for all brick repair.
g) Repoint chimney down to flashing.
h) If the desire is to cap the chimney, use metal flashing in as unobtrusive manner as possible. Submit to
LRHDC Staff before installation of cap_
6) Rear porch on east side
a) Remove existing porch and replace with new reproduction porch to match existing.
b) Replace porch floor joists, decking and handrails to match existing porch in overall size and shape.
c) Replace with boards of same dime ns n, shape, a d profile.
