3 A RESOLUTION TO AUTHORIZE THE CITY MANAGER TO ENTER
4 INTO A CONTRACT TO MCGEORGE CONTRACTING COMPANY,
5 INC., D/B/A CRANFORD CONSTRUCTION COMPANY, IN AN
6 AMOUNT NOT TO EXCEED TWO MILLION, SEVEN HUNDRED
7 EIGHTEEN THOUSAND, EIGHTY AND 40/100 DOLLARS
8 ($2,718,080.40), FOR STREET RESURFACING WITHIN THE CITY OF
9 LITTLE ROCK, ARKANSAS; AND FOR OTHER PURPOSES.

11 WHEREAS, street resurfacing improvements are needed within the City of Little Rock, Arkansas, to
12 maintain existing asphalt streets; and,
13 WHEREAS, the citizens of the City of Little Rock approved a 2022 Bond Issue which provided
14 funding for these resurfacing improvements; and,
15 WHEREAS, Bid No. 2154 was issued for the 2023 Street Resurfacing Program, and of the two (2)
16 bids received, McGeorge Contracting Company, Inc., d/b/a Cranford Construction Company submitted
17 the lowest and responsible bid meeting the specifications.
18 NOW,THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS OF THE CITY
19 OF LITTLE ROCK, ARKANSAS:
20 Section 1. The City Manager is hereby authorized to execute an agreement with McGeorge
21 Contracting Company, Inc., d/b/a Cranford Construction Company Cranford Construction Company in an
22 amount not to exceed Two Million, Seven Hundred Eighteen Thousand, Eighty and 40/100 Dollars
23 ($2,718,080.40), which is Two Million, Two Hundred Sixty-Five Thousand, Sixty-Seven Dollars
24 ($2,265,067.00), plus 20%contingency, for the 2023 Street Resurfacing Program. .
25 Section 2. Funding for this project is from the 2022 Limited Tax Obligation Capital Information
26 Bonds.
27 Section 3. Severability. In the event any title, section, paragraph, item, sentence, clause, phrase, or
28 word of this resolution is declared or adjudged to be invalid or unconstitutional, such declaration or
29 adjudication shall not affect the remaining portions of the resolution which shall remain in full force and
30 effect as if the portion so declared or adjudged invalid or unconstitutional was not originally a part of the
31 resolution.
32 Section 4. Repealer. All laws, ordinances, resolutions, or parts of the same, that are inconsistent
33 with the provisions of this resolution, are hereby repealed to the extent of such inconsistency.
