3 A RESOLUTION TO AUTHORIZE THE CITY MANAGER TO ENTER
4 INTO A CONTRACT WITH ARKANSAS VALLEY COMMUNICATIONS,
5 IN AN AMOUNT NOT TO EXCEED SEVENTY-EIGHT THOUSAND,
6 NINE HUNDRED SEVENTY-SEVEN AND 50/100 DOLLARS ($78,977.50),
7 FOR THE PURCHASE OF NEW HANDHELD RADIOS FOR THE
8 LITTLE ROCK ZOO; AND FOR OTHER PURPOSES.

10 WHEREAS, the Little Rock Zoo is in need of new radio communications equipment, hardware and
11 accessories to replace outdated equipment that does not meet the needs of the Zoo facility; and,
12 WHEREAS, vendor selection for the purchase of Motorola Radios from Arkansas Valley
13 Communications was made utilizing the Arkansas State Contract No. 4600050253/NASPO Master
14 Agreement No. 00318;and,
15 WHEREAS,the total amount of the purchase is not to exceed Seventy-Eight Thousand,Nine t kindred
16 Seventy-Seven and 50/100 Dollars($78,977.50), plus applicable fees and taxes;and,
17 NOW,THEREFORE,BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS OF THE CITY
18 OF LITTLE ROCK,ARKANSAS:
19 Section 1. The City Manager is authorized to enter into an agreement with Arkansas Valley
20 Communications in an amount not to exceed Seventy-Eight Thousand,Nine Hundred Seventy-Seven and
21 50/100 Dollars ($78,977.50), plus applicable fees and taxes, for the purchase of new handheld radios,
22 hardware and accessories for the Little Rock Zoo.
23 Section 2. Funds for this expenditure are available in Special Project,Account No. 108529-S52C459.
24 Section 3. Severability. In the event any title, section, paragraph, item, sentence, clause, phrase, or
25 word of this resolution is declared or adjudged to be invalid or unconstitutional, such declaration or
26 adjudication shall not affect the remaining portions of the resolution which shall remain in full force and
27 effect as if the portion so declared or adjudged invalid or unconstitutional were not originally a part of the
28 resolution.
29 Section 4. Repealer. All laws, ordinances,resolutions,or parts of the same,that are inconsistent with
30 the provisions of this resolution,are hereby repealed to the extent of such inconsistency.
