Barack Obama ,➢-iJNE 17, 2019 To whom it may concern: On May 4th 2019, we, the members of Hope Neighborhood Association, met with members of the Lewis St. Church of Christ. The Church is located on 2716 Lewis St, Little Rock AR. Mr. Jameel O. Robinson, the minister of the Lewis St Church of Christ and other members of the congregation, presented their new construction/renovation project plans that will be constructed at their existing location. Mr. Robinson stated that because of the age of the building, the existing structure had suffered over the years with repairs that caused some environmental issues. Because of these issues, the congregation had to vacate the worship center and move to their on-site Family Life Center that they are currently occupying today. We, the Hope Neighborhood Association are very grateful for the Lewis St Church, which has served this community some 60 plus years. The congregation is historically known for its Community Saturday Feeding Program, Clothing Give Away Program, Community Health Care Program and an on-site daycare center that serves the community as well. We, the Hope Neighborhood Association feel privilege to know that the Lewis St Church of Christ will not be leaving out community, but would rather continue investing love and unity back into community. We are in full support of the Lewis St Church of Christ New Construction/Renovation Project.
