B. Staff Analysis:
Evangel Assembly of God is a small church located in an area
of mixed zoning and uses ranging from single-family
residential to heavy industrial uses. A second, small
church is located directly across Griffin Road. Perhaps
owing to its location near the I-440/Fourche Dam Pike

interchange and the fact that the church sits well off of
any heavily traveled road, Evangel church and the
neighboring church have both suffered numerous burglaries.
In an effort to stem this tide of break-ins, Evangel church
is requesting permission to place a single -wide,
manufactured home on the church property for security
purposes. The home would be occupied by a staff member and
located in such a manner to provide visibility for both
churches.
The proposed home will be located 100+ feet from the nearest
property line and should have no impact an adjacent
properties. There are several, older mobile homes in the
immediate vicinity.
Staff feels that the request is justified and supports the
placement of the manufactured home for security purposes.
