HomeMy WebLinkAbout16055 1 RESOLUTION NO. 16,055 2 3 A RESOLUTION TO AMEND RESOLUTION NO. 15,892 (FEBRUARY 7, 4 2023), TO AUTHORIZE THE CITY MANAGER TO MODIFY THE 5 CONTRACT WITH INSIGHT PUBLIC SECTOR SLED CENTER, FOR AN 6 ADDITIONAL PURCHASE AMOUNT OF ONE HUNDRED SIXTY 7 THOUSAND, SEVEN HUNDRED SEVENTY-TWO AND 40/100 DOLLARS 8 ($160,772.40), PLUS APPLICABLE TAXES AND FEES, FOR THE 9 PURCHASE OF FIFTY (50) ADDITIONAL CAMERAS AND 10 ACTIVATION OF ADVANCED SEARCH FEATURES FOR THE LITTLE 1I ROCK POLICE DEPARTMENT REAL TIME CRIME CENTER; AND 12 FOR OTHER PURPOSES. 13 14 WHEREAS, the Little Rock Police Department (LRPD) Real Time Crime Center is responsible for 15 ensuring the public safety within the City Limits of Little Rock, Arkansas; and, 16 WHEREAS, Falcon Cameras have consistently been identified as a critical aspect of any functional 17 Real Time Crime Center and are extremely useful in identifying specific suspect vehicles involving criminal 18 activity; and, 19 WHEREAS, in Little Rock, Ark., Resolution No. 15,892 (February 7, 2023), the Board of Directors 20 authorized the City Manager to execute a contract with Insight Public Sector Sled Center to provide seventy- 21 five (75) additional Falcon LPR Cameras at a cost of Two Hundred Fifteen Thousand, Seven Hundred 22 Ninety-Three and 45/100 Dollars($215,793.45); and, 23 WHEREAS, vendor selection was made through utilization of the OMINA Partners Contract No. 24 4400006644; and, 25 WHEREAS, the Falcon LRP Cameras exceeded expectation and LRPD Staff has determined that 26 expansion of the current Flock Camera footprint will result in even higher success rates; and, 27 WHEREAS,the amended Insight Public Sector Sled Center contract cost for the additional fifty(50) 28 cameras and search features purchase shall not exceed One Hundred Sixty Thousand, Seven Hundred 29 Seventy-Two and 40/100 Dollars($160,772.40), plus applicable taxes and fees, for a total revised contract 30 amount of Three Hundred Seventy-Six Thousand, Five Hundred Sixty-Six and 15/100 Dollars 31 ($376,566.15). 32 NOW,THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS OF THE CITY 33 OF LITTLE ROCK,ARKANSAS: [Page I of 21 Section 1. The City Manager is authorized to enter into a contract amendment with Insight Public 2 Sector Sled Center for the additional purchase of fifty (50) Falcon Cameras for an amount not to exceed 3 One Hundred Sixty Thousand, Seven Hundred Seventy-Two and 40/100 Dollars ($160,772.40), plus 4 applicable taxes and fees,for a total revised contract amount of Three Hundred Seventy-Six Thousand, Five 5 Hundred Sixty-Six and 15/100 Dollars($376,566.15). 6 Section 2. Funds for the additional purchase are available through ARPA Funding set aside in the 7 Real Time Crime Center Account No. 27159-60200-G0222AR52A. 8 Section 3. Severability. In the event any title, section, paragraph, item, sentence, clause, phrase, or 9 word of this resolution is declared or adjudged to be invalid or unconstitutional, such declaration or 10 adjudication shall not affect the remaining portions of the resolution which shall remain in full force and 11 effect as if the portion so declared or adjudged invalid or unconstitutional were not originally a part of the 12 resolution. 13 Section 4. Repealer.
