3 A RESOLUTION TO AUTHORIZE THE CITY MANAGER TO ENTER
4 INTO A CONTRACT WITH MAC MECHANICAL COMPANY, IN AN
5 AMOUNT NOT TO EXCEED ONE HUNDRED NINETEEN THOUSAND,
6 NINE HUNDRED EIGHTY-NINE DOLLARS AND 20/100 DOLLARS
7 ($119,989.20), FOR THE PUBLIC WORKS DEPARTMENT LANDFILL
8 SANITARY PUMP STATION; AND FOR OTHER PURPOSES

10 WHEREAS, Resolution No. 15,524 (August 17, 2021), as adopted by the Little Rock Board of
11 Directors, made a Three Million Dollar ($3,000,000.00) allocation of American Rescue Act Funds for
12 Water and Sewer Infrastructure Improvement Projects;and,
13 WHEREAS,bids were solicited for Landfill Sanitary Pump Station, Bid No. 2160; and,
14 WHEREAS, MAC Mechanical Company was the lowest responsive, responsible bid meeting
15 specifications out of two(2) bids received.
16 NOW,THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS OF THE CITY
17 OF LITTLE ROCK,ARKANSAS:
18 Section 1. The City Manager is hereby authorized to execute an agreement with MAC Mechanical
19 Company, for the Public Works Department Landfill Sanitary Pump Station, in an amount not to exceed
20 One Hundred Nineteen Thousand, Nine Hundred Eighty-Nine and 20/100 Dollars($1 19,989.20), which is
21 the base bid amount of Ninety-Nine Thousand,Nine Hundred Ninety-One Dollars($99,991.00), plus 20%
22 contingencies.
23 Section 2. Funding for this project is from the State and Local Fiscal Recovery Fund (SLFRF)Grant
24 authorized by the American Rescue Plan Act (ARPA), as authorized by Resolution No. 15,524, Account
25 No. G0601 AR40A.
26 Section 3. Severability. In the event any title, section, paragraph, item, sentence, clause, phrase, or
27 word of this resolution is declared or adjudged to be invalid or unconstitutional, such declaration or
28 adjudication shall not affect the remaining portions of the resolution which shall remain in full force and
29 effect as if the portion so declared or adjudged invalid or unconstitutional was not originally a part of the
30 resolution.
31 Section 4. Repealer. All laws,ordinances, resolutions,or parts of the same,that are inconsistent with
32 the provisions of this resolution,are hereby repealed to the extent of such inconsistency.
